Today I had my glucose test done and the sweet drink was exactly that, it actually burned my throat and made my tummy queasy for most of the day. Good news is its only about half of a keg cup (yes I know how big a keg cup is) and its liquid not thick like I though it was going to be so you dont really have to choke it down. Any way I dont get the results back from that for about a week, but I hope its neg. so I dont have to do it again.
The baby is measuring a week early. Im currently 26 weeks and measured at 27 today. I guess thats good that the baby is growing.
The heart beat was 140bpm and my BP was good. So not much to report.
I have only gained 8lbs total so far, so im really excited about that!!!!
My belly button is about to pop :0 so I will take a picture of that as soon as it happens...I know you are dying to see it and all its weirdness lol.
The baby thinks that my ribs are monkey bars and enjoyed playing with them all day today. I was sitting at my desk trying to chart and was leaning forward and could feel that I was squishing something...an arm, leg, foot, who knows all I know is that it wouldn't move and I wasn't giving in. Starting my "tough love" parenting skills early! ;)

Quit your itchin'
My belly is starting to itch quite a bit. I don't even notice how much I do itch it until someone mentions "oh` your starting to itch" oops! Today my legs were itching like crazy! My legs aren't swollen yet and I hope they don't swell. But they sure did itch today.
Today I’m 25 weeks and all that energy I had a few months ago is GONE and I'm back to being really tired. Probably because I am waking up between 2 and 3 every morning to pee and I’m sleeping much lighter due to the fact that I’m heavier and can't get comfortable. I like to sleep on my side but if the baby is positioned a certain way it really hurts and since its a stubborn "girl" it wont move for me to be comfortable so I have to resort to trying to sleep on my back. I think all my rolling around (yes I can still roll around on my own)has been bothering Ean because he has been awake every night this week when I get up to pee.

The baby is now a pound and a half and is 13 1/2 inches long! and the kicks are very strong and visible under my shirt.
Our MD appointment is on the 30th and I get to drink that nasty drink, I hope my glucose test is neg. so I don’t have to do it again.

Just Kidding....
Opps! Just kidding I did get bigger, I just didn't notice because Im used to it I guess.
We didn't get to finish the baby room because it was so humid the paint wouldn't stay on the walls to paint the stripes. But we did get 2 walls done, and the mold cleaned out of our future bedroom AND I organized most of the drawers in the Kitchen.....lets just see how long they stay that way.
Im ready for fall....Im way to hot.

Margarita Mama
First of all I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY VERY OWN MAMA!!! LOVE YOU :)
So, I have been trying to find a permanent name for my blog and the new name of my blog will be Margarita Mama and here is why:
when I think of margaritas I think of relaxing on the beach without a care in the world. And that is kind of how I am. I'm a very easy going, laid back, person who doesn't have an organizational or cleaning bone in her body. I don't care what other people think about me. I like to cut corners and do things in the easiest way possible. I fly by the seat of my pants and that's just the way it is! My laundry isn't folded, my bed is never made, and the dishes pile up, Id rather be outside in the sun then do any sort of house work. Plus I could live on salsa and a good margarita!
Tomorrow marks 6 months!! 113 days to go!!! WOW its going by pretty fast, all though every time I feel the baby move (which is a lot now) I want to have it and meet and and hold it and see what/who it looks like.
Right now the baby is a foot long and weighs a little over a pound.
Ean and I went to a wedding this weekend and the baby started to move a lot because of the vibrations from the music and Kirsten got to feel the baby kick!
This weekend we are going to finish painting the baby's room and hopefully start painting in our new bedroom upstairs, first we have to remove the mold on the walls that got there when to roof leaked, but we have a new roof now!
Belly pictures to come soon, I don't think my 5mo to 6mo pic is going to look much different, I haven't really gotten any bigger and I only gained one pound this month so I guess that means next month I will have a growth spurt....bring on the coco & shea tummy butter!

More room please
Yes, I know I'm not even 6 months yet but when the baby turns a certain way we run out of room and it is very uncomfortable for me, it hurts and gives me what feels like a constant side ache. I nicely poke and push but it only moves if it wants to (which only confirms my gender prediction below)
The kicking has been getting stronger which is cool because you can really feel it on the outside, but it is only cool if it is not kicking my bladder.
I have also noticed that I can feel when the baby is rotating. I get this feeling in my stomach that kinda hurts and cant be felt on the outside and then all of a sudden there is a really hard spot in my stomach, either a head or a butt!
I haven't felt the baby hiccup yet but I can tell the difference between kicks/punches and just little movements like maybe it is grasping, that feels like fish swimming in my stomach lol.
So everyone who has responded to my baby photos and blog have said that the baby is a GIRL and that SHE has my nose, I found this quite interesting because the comments came from family, friends and co-workers, people who wouldn't talk to each other and be persuaded by each other.
But since the beginning I have felt like the baby is a boy, I don't know why I just had this feeling.
Well, now I feel like it is a girl:
in one of my earlier posts I said that we would know the sex by the way the baby acted and if it was a boy it would be quiet and naughty; giving me heartburn, constipation, etc. and that if it was a girl she would be outwardly naughty and kick me and my ribs and bladder.
well.....yesterday on the way home from Nebraska I was driving and kinda had to pee and all of a sudden it was like a marching band was marching right over my bladder and it wasn't a consistent march but sporadic so that I couldn't prepare and would get caught off guard and almost pee my pants (for the record I have not peed my pants, yet) so this was when I decided that the baby is a girl.

This was my favorite picture, in person you could really see the lips and it looked like the baby was kissing us:)That makes me think its a girl but Trista said maybe it was trying to make goat lips (like Ean always does to people) which would totally mean its a boy!
I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and I feel really good!
The baby is still moving around, kicks are getting stronger and it definitely moved around during the ultrasound today which was cool. It was so good to get to see it in there, really amazing:)
My mom came down this weekend and we worked on the nursery. Its going to be all cream walls, white trim, then we are going to put up a chair rail and have peachy orange and cream stripes, I will post pics when it is finished. The furniture will be brown and Im going to decorate with Noah's ark!
I started wearing maternity pants for the first time on Monday.....and they seriously are the most comfortable things in the world...even if you have to pull them up past your belly button! So I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to my Aunt Ann and Cousin Tammi for all the maternity clothes...I have a closet full of clothes I didnt have to buy!! and that helps tremendously:)
