One Month

one month ago I was in lots of pain

but it got me this!

and today he looks like this



how is that possible. Doesn't seem that long when I think about it.
But when Im sitting here in the same clothes as yesterday it feels like forever :)

we have a whistler.
it still catches me off guard when I hear whistling, I think who is that? Oh yah Chasen.
He does it most when he is in time out and thinks I have forgotten about him and that its time to get out.
He knows he can't talk to me when he is in time out so he whistles. The first time he did it I about died with laughter.
I said "did you just whistle at me?"
"yah, is it time to get out yet"

A Wolf Pack

Every night I go to bed at around 8pm after feeding dashtyn and pumping so he has a bottle for dad to feed him.
dad and the boy's stay up until 11:30 this way I get to sleep from 9pm-1am and chasen will sleep in till 8:30 or 9 that way I only have Dashtyn to care for from 6am until Chasen gets up.
This gives me time to eat a good breakfast, cause lunch is usually spread out over 2 or 3 hours: grab a cracker here, a slice of cheese here, a chug of juice there, a gogurt while feeding baby. and i can get Chasen's breakfast ready too.

So since "the boys" spend the evening together all in the rocking chair watching tv and eating popcorn they now call themselves the wolf pack. (if you haven't seen the movie The Hangover you should)
"mom, we are a wolf pack!"
"mom, Im gonna stay up and watch movies with the wolf pack, pleeeeeease!"
"Kevin gets to be in our wolf pack"
"mom's aren't in a wolf pack"
and Im okay with that! Because some day the wolf pack will get a little older and and want to leave the house to go "work" or do chores with the leader of the wolf pack.
and that will leave mom allllll alone in peace and quiet ........

just yesterday when ean went to leave for work Chasen said, but dad I need to go with you on a wolf pack adventure!

The Sling

I can use my hands!!
today we used the sling and he didnt cry while he was in it!
he rode around with me for over an hour, sleeping most of the time.
I was able to play train's with Chasen and color and read books

I also swept, put away laundry and loaded the dish washer all while "holding" my cranky baby!

The Many Faces of Dashtyn

I'm able to lay him down more for longer periods of time which means I can eat, play with chasen and clean!

He has also started to have a longer awake time where he coo's at us!

he's now into power rangers, transformers, iron man, really any action figure.
I must say Id rather watch mickey mouse then power rangers...



This week on wed. while chasen was at daycare dashtyn and i went to my (old) work to visit! and we went to kmart and i bought the boys their first matchy outfits!!
Dashtyn was really good the entire outing which lasted about 4 hours!
and Chasen was happy to introduce his bro to his friends at school.

papa and ara are coming to visit this weekend, hopefully chasen will get to go play outside!!

we have had lots of friends visiting the past 2 weeks and bringing dinner!!!
It has been great
oh, and Im finally over my mastitis, but wasnt able to nurse him cause the antibiotic was hurting his tummy. I just started nursing again today, but my supply is down :(
Im hoping it comes back soon.

First Bath

and he loved it so much better then the sponge bath!! didn't cry at all

starting to get pinchable fat rolls:) His cheeks are pretty pinchable and his brother loves to pinch and kiss them all the time.

this is the flower he sits in! It is so soft and works great! I highly recommend, but I can't remember where I bought it...

The boy's get bathed and dressed daily (bathed every other day) not always before noon, but it does happen.
I on the other hand have been in the same clothes for 2 days and really need a shower!!
But thats okay no one has told me I look or smell bad :)
Ean knows better and the boys don't know the difference!
And Kevin likes things that smell bad!

Ean and I thought we would try to go to the asian resturant in Lisbon but Dashtyn was really cranky and I was exhausted so we called in and got it to go!!
and stayed home and opened small gifts and cards from family!

2 Weeks Old

this sunday we went to north english, our first long trip as a family of 4!

First Dr. Visit

Dashtyn went to the DR yesterday and weighed in at 9lbs 1.5oz
He was 8lbs 3oz just 8 days ago!!
They said he is a healthy beautiful baby!
only problem we had is his frenulum has to be clipped.
They said that is why he is getting so much air when he eats and is very gassy.
They said it's better to clip it now before he gets older, She also said it could give him some speech problems down the road so we are getting it done on the 22nd.
