and his big brother got to have pancakes for breakfast

because he slept in his big boy room for the first time and he stayed in there all night!
Now we just have to get Dashtyn out of our room and into his crib..... but his mama isn't quite ready for that.

Spring Has Sprung Here on The Farm

all boy. Even though it took him several minutes to get up the courage to pick it up!
He would not touch the frog on the porch though
and our tree is blooming and the apple and plum tree have blooms as well!

He can kind of swing himself!! It's milestones like these that kill me. My little boy is all grown up!
His favorite thing to say when he does something new like dress himself "mom I can do it cause Im a kid now"

Daycare

Dashtyn had his first day at daycare last week.
Nanny said he was really good and the most she heard him cry was when I put him in the car seat to go! lol
Her and papa really have their hands full they have 4 new babies and they are all boys!!
So I thought dressing him in the "boys club" shirt was appropriate.
Dashtyn is the youngest then there is a 3 month old a 6month old and 8 month old plus Chasen and a couple kids his age.
Chasen was really happy to have Dash at his school!

I went back to work a couple weeks ago.
This weekend was my first weekend and Ean had both boys by himself!
well, Grammie came Saturday night and was here on Sunday but ean had them all night Friday and all day Saturday while I slept.
I woke up at 1pm and came downstairs and they were all sitting in the recliner still in their PJ's napping and watching cartoons.
Ean said once Dash woke up at 3:30 he couldn't fall back asleep.
I said ohhh hun you learn real quick how to fall back asleep!

The kids dont have to many days left of daycare!!

I worked last Thursdays got home fir. morning went to bed woke up and went right back to work to give them a 4 week notice!
My last day is April 17th.

BUT

they mentioned that I stay on the pay roll and sign up as a casual employee.
which means that I am required to work one day every 6 months and they can call me and ask me to come work (but I dont have to)

I think this will be perfect because then I can keep my nursing licence active and if I want some extra cash, say to pay for a plan ticket to Syracuse, NY to see Kirsten in august!!!!! then I can pick up hours!!
or if Ean were to get hurt and not be able to work we have a back up plan which is comforting!

Im so excited to not have to work weekends any more!!

The Other Night

it was around 5:30 and chasen was napping. yes, napping we played hard all morning, running errands all afternoon and he crashed on the couch.

Dashtyn on the other hand slept through the errands and was wide awake so we went outside to watch the rain roll in.
One of my most favorite things in the world. The cool breeze that carries the smell of rain and it sounds like ocean waves as it blows through all of our trees and all the animals come up from the field and hang out by the fence by the house until the wind stops and then you know its just a few seconds before the rain falls and then I head to the porch and the animals to the barn.

Dashtyn apparently loves it too!
Ive never seen him so content and happy!

and we just laid there and enjoyed it.
I love chasen but I also love getting to have quiet moments like this with my youngest son.





I also got to spend some (not so quiet) alone time with chasen yesterday during lunch.
Dashtyn was asleep and Chasen and I had a picnic on the porch.

Mom, why are we having a picnic?

because its fun

cause i get to spend time with you

because they are yummy

...... and thats how it went on and on for a good half hour lol
He is really into asking questions

7 weeks

At 7 weeks I am awake a lot more kicking my legs ferociously and flailing my arms.
look at those arms go

If you put a toy (preferably a soft one) in my hand Ill hold on for dear life!
Ive also found my hands and they are in my mouth allot.
my favorite toy is a black chicken with white spots!

I will just lay there and squeal and smile. No laughing just yet.

I still get up at 11, 2, 4, and 7:30.
but mom says Im so cute Im worth it

Park Time

This past week we went to the park 3 times!
One day we met up with the campbell boys for a play date!

they dont have the bathrooms open at the parks yet, but chasen didnt have a problem peeing outside.
We didnt know what else to do...




my mom was up this weekend and we went to the park with her too

and yesterday we went to the park in lisbon with dad and kevin
and then came home and played!


he is so much taller then last year!

Ean thought it was just allergies bothering him but later in the afternoon he felt pretty bad and took his temp. 100.7 he has the flu :(
