8 months

time is going so fast this time around.

I feel like dashtyn wasn't a baby for long.

maybe its because he is 8mo old and wearing 12mo clothes

and according to our scale weighs around 22lbs

He is standing and taking small steps around furniture he hasn't quite got the balance to let go but will get brave at times and let go with one hand.

He can crawl up the steps...3 so far I caught him on them after he escaped from the livingroom the other day.

He says mama and knows what it means.

he will cry and crawl toward me maa mamamam

he also says dada, nana, baba and screams really loud!

He has an amazing smile

and I still think he looks just like me as a baby.

His hair is still dark

and

He still only has 2 teeth

He loves to feed himself and prefers to only eat finger foods.

He doesn't like to be feed unless he has a spoon too.

We tried diced carrots the other day and he spit them out and made this awful face!!

Oh, and he still does NOT sleep through the night..... :(

Little baby Carlos spent his 8 month birthday in the car on the way home from Nebraska!!

It was a great weekend and Ill be posting more on that later! 

Fall Weekend

Alyssa Came down this weekend, actually she was here Thursday so I went to work Thursday night and then Friday afternoon we took the boys to the PlayStation.

First time I've been there, I had a free pass (and have one more to use) It was fun and they even had a safe place for Dashtyn to play!

I'm not sure I would pay to go there unless we were going with a bunch of other friends, but we got 2 free passes from our Library so we went.

Chasen enjoyed it a lot though

saturday Alyssa and I tailgated the hawkeye game with my friends and

went home to watch it.

the game was NO GOOD.

The husker game was great!

Sunday we went to Sutliff Cider and enjoyed some cider and apple bacon cheddar pizza.

It was really good!

No Weddings

When Chasen was a baby we had probably 6 weddings to attend so he got to get dressed up all the time.

So this past week as I was going through putting away all the clothes that Dashtyn never wore because they dont fit, I ran across my favorite dress outfit so we had a little photo shoot.

The only wedding we have this year is in Nov. and I dont even think we are taking the kids!

 and here is Chasen in the same shirt/tie he was around 5 months old. the shirt was a little big on him and a little small on Dash

I think we will dress them up in suits for christmas because we have them and why not!!

How Old Is He

So we went to Chasen's preschool last week to help with walking the kids to school and we were a little early so we got to finish up snack with Chasen and his class.
And the teacher asked chasen,
so did your brother have a birthday recently!?
Chasen looked at me confused and said no.
I said no he's only 7 1/2 months!

 This was his last ride in his baby car seat. Chasen is finally 40lbs so he got a booster and Dashtyn is backwards in Chasen's car seat. He is just so long!

We were at Sutliff Cider today and the lady serving us said oh let me guess he must be between 12 and 14 months!

Nope, he will be 8mo on the 30th

yes, he is! but you were right about his size because I just switched him to 12mo clothes!

After sutliff cider we went to sutliff bar and a lady walked by and dash shoot her a flirty smile so she stopped to chat and said oh he is so cute! I have a grandson about his age he just turned one...

 Dashtyn basically didn't ware the 9mo clothes, I think its because we were wearing shorts so much that we didn't have to worry about pants being short and this past week when it got cool I went to put pants on and nothing fit!

I guess dashtyn is my tall baby and Chasen was my fatty boy :)

Random Shananigans

A few weekends ago we were in north english, Grammie watched the boys for us while we were tailgating. On Sunday I got some great pics of the boys with Great Grandma Seaba!

after we left north english we came home and went to the park.

It was Dashtyn's first time really playing at the park!

 and chasen was brave enough to go down the pole with out help!

My mom and aunt came down this weekend and we went tailgating hawkeye style!

Lisa took chasen on a walk and they ran into some alumni playing the trombone and tube.
Chasen got to play the trombone but said he really liked the tuba!

 

 after tailgating we came home to eat chilli and watch hours upon hours of football!!!

and a lot to celebrate since both teams won!!!
