Extended Family Vacation

Saturday morning we woke up a little early and drove 2 hours to Wisconsin to the Cave of The Mounds!
It was a fun adventure and all 7 of us rode together in the suburban!

then we ate lunch and headed home to do some landscaping

My Mom, Grandparents and Lily came down for a long weekend!

and had a slumber party every night!!
we also went to Wisconsion on a day vacation to the cave of the mounds and did lots of landscaping at my house!

I wreally hab to go peeeee

One morning I woke up and Chasen decided he wanted to use the potty
-not 100% by any means-
But after my last failed attempt I had decided to give it a rest.
Until he goes to my mom's for a week, I mean until he's ready ;)

well, he's kinda ready.



He asked me the other day
Mama I wreally gotta go pee.
So we made a big happy deal about it went pee and then he goes
"I have candy now!"

so his motives weren't to pee but to get candy. But I'm okay with that.
I still didn't push it and he would ask a couple times a day for the past week or so.
He also asked at the pool store and was pretty upset when I didn't have a candy to give him.



So yesterday I decided we could take it a little more seriously and went san's pants or just underwear and he only had 4 accidents!!!!!
and almost everytime HE initiated going on the potty.
sometimes he would ask just because he wanted candy and then couldn't pee.

"moooom i can't pee" "whered it go" "I can't go"

then when he didn't get a candy he was NOT happy.


we use this potty train suggested to me by my good friend from high school, Charli and she, well her husband made it and emailed it to me!!
Thats why I love facebook and other such forms of social networking. Its so cool to think that one of my best friends from almost 10 years ago who lives in California is able to still be a friend and help me out with potty training of all things:)


any way,
we use the chart and put a dino on the train every time he goes then when the train is full he gets a new (cheap) toy or a bigger piece of candy!
every other time he just gets 1 skittle or 1 candy heart.

so the kid may not be in diapers when he goes to prom....
we'll see...

A Venture

we went on an adventure last week when it was 94 and probably 90% humidity!
we went to the Wapsipinicon National Park on our way home from Wisconsin to get a truck with Ean

Update

So we went to the second ultrasound and my follicles had grown only a little bit
to 17, 13, 12, the rest stayed at 9 or 10. So they told me to take another shot on Friday and the "trigger" shot on Saturday night at 10pm
So that's what I did!
Then we go on Sunday for our IUI

My Friend is being induced at the hospital just a half hour before I go in for my IUI!
So hopefully she will have her baby as I'm creating one:)
Well, I'm certain she will have her baby;)

I gave myself the trigger shot last night after being awake for 32 hours (I was so tried and my head hurt so bad I couldn't fall asleep)
and when I gave it blood started to return in the syringe and it totally freaked me out!
Then a bubble formed under the skin and it hurt, and I was afraid I had done something wrong and it wouldn't absorb right.

I still really don't know what I did wrong?
The needle was a little bigger this time and when I stuck myself I flinched both in my leg and my hand so maybe that was the problem?

I just really hope to NEVER have to do this again.
if I do I think Ill take the shot's with me to work or find a friend to do it:)

After the IUI its the 2 week(ish) wait and this time I go to my Dr. for a blood pregnancy test so that's nice I'll know for sure right then and don't have the anxiety of testing at home for days and days.

Who Needs a Sibling?!?

We all do!!!
Chasen is in need of someone to care for
and Kevin could really use a break from being Chasen's playmate
It does make for really cute pictures though!!

I had an ultrasound today to determine the size of the follicles and I had 6 that are in the race for ovulation!
One was 16 (we want them 14 o 20)and the other five were 12, 11, 10, 10 and 9.
So they sent me home told me not to take any more meds and to just "coast" (the follicles will keep growing without meds) until tomorrow morning when I will have another ultrasound. ugh!

What we want to happen is that the 16 gets bigger and the 12 and maybe the 11 go up to 14.
What we don't want is that I have 3 or more greater then 14. Because then they will cancel the cycle due to me having to many potential eggs that could get fertilized and turn into multiple babies.

It's such a delicately, time sensitive, precise ordeal!

I left the appointment feeling pretty upset because our IUI will be on Saturday morning (provided they don' cancel it) which means we don't get to go home to Nebraska this weekend.
And I was really looking forward to it because I was going to get to see both sides of my family and have a stress free good time!
Now I get to sit at home and think about all this stupid crap.
I told Ean I'm sick of paying all this money, and missing out on things like going home or scheduling any sort of vacation at all.

I know I complain about the cost allot and its not that we are going into debt but I look at the numbers and think about how bad Ean and I (well mostly me) wanted to go on a 2nd honeymoon for our 5 year anniversary.

Im still being (kinda) positive. I know once we get pregnant everything should be fine. My baby home (uterus) looks great its got the right thickness which I guess is why we are kinda nervous that it would be easier for me to get pregnant with twins or more. I just want to move on to IVF and be done with all this BS.


*on a side note giving my self those shots was the hardest thing ever, it took me over 20min to do the first one cause I was so chicken. The next few were a little easier.
I did have some side effects including, nausea, awful headaches and some emotional side effects and I bruise myself with each injection.
Ill be glad when they are over:)

A Great Mothers Day

I worked sat. night so I slept until 11 when Ean and Chasen came home and woke me up with hand picked flowers! Kevin even had one in his collar:)Then we went out to eat at Graze and ate outside on the patio.
Then we went to the park and to Capanna for some gelato
we had peanut butter chocolate,strawberry, red velvet cake, and another flavor I don't remember!Then on our way home we stopped at Chalk the Walk in Mount Vernon. Always a cool experience:)

They had a jar out taking donations for Habit for Humanity for Japan. I thought that was pretty cool!

I waned to draw Lincoln Nebraska on their!
Then we went home and everyone took a 3 hour nap including Kevin:)

Chasen is defiantly all boy and enjoys all sports!

I have a feeling in a few years my weekend and week nights will be filled with T-ball, soccer, and who knows maybe hockey!
