dancing king

Saturday night we went to a wedding of one of Ean's highschool friends! Chasen tore up the dance floor (see videos!) but we left at half time of the hawkeye game so we could go watch the end! (nooo chasen we arent ready for you to get married yet) Chasen spent the night with grammie and ean and i went to a friends house. WOW what a game, it doesnt get any better then that.... or does it!?!!?! as for the huskers 7pts and 8 turnovers....it doesnt get any worse...I hope. everyone was exhausted after to much dancing and celebrating. we kept trying to take the bottle out of his hands and everytime he would scream just once with out waking up then we would give it back. Try to take it, same thing! it was funny

FALL

Yesterday we went to Carrol's pumpkin farm by Grinnell Iowa.
We went with Grammie, Tirsta Chris and Garin!!
and we got to see Aundi and Brent to!

I went to the grocery store tonight and didnt have to buy formula. Instead I bought tons of frozen veggies and string cheese!

A dry spell..oops

This past past weekend(the 10th) was a crazy one:
Friday night was Cornell homecoming and I went back (the 5 miles) to see all my crazy Phi O friends, it was also Ean's 5 year reunion and I saw a bunch of people I hadnt seen since my freshman year and talked to a lot of people who read the blog!

I had lots of fun and my fairy godhusband picked me up at midnight so I would be ready for hawkeye homecoming!!
Ean and I spent Saturday outside in the freezing cold tailgating and then went to a crowded bar to cheer on the hawks... it was great!!

We went out to eat with my mom Sunday at Hu-Hot and chasen had teriyaki tofu and loved it, i thought it tasted like scrambled eggs that had been in the fridge for 2 days.

Sorry no pics but this computer has a virus or something is wrong and I can't figure it out.

This weekend Alyssa came down, and is still here!
She watched Chasen today and is going to bring him to see me at work tomorrow before she goes back home.
We wish we could keep her here forever, she did my dishes and folded lots o laundry!!!
We just hung out this weekend spent all sat. watching football, which was GREAT for IOWA and embarrassing for nebraska, so embarrassing :(
Ean and I went and saw couples retreat with Brad and Abby. $18 just to see a movie. CrAZy
Alyssa and I did some shopping and I got a new dress, I don't think I've bought a dress in ..... um..years, maybe Britton's wedding.

Speaking of Britton, she is due to have her baby any day!! She is due on Chasens birthday:) and I'm anxiously waiting for her to call so I can come down and help them out!! And hold the baby of course:)

A random update for your reading pleasure!

so very true!
Mr. Chasen has tons of attitude!
He has started to react more to our reactions. For example Ean was trying to get him to eat so when he put the cheerio in his mouth Ean would clap so then Chasen took the cheerio out of his mouth and put it back in waiting for Ean to clap. Then he would put it back in, take it out and let Kevin sniff it, then he put it back in his mouth :) It had become a game and he didn't eat very much!

He does eat a lot though, just last night he had a grilled cheese sandwich, bowl of peas and 1/4 jar of baby food!

Last Thursday we went to buffalo wild wings with friends to watch the Huskers beat Missouri in the pouring rain all in the 4th quarter!!! and he ate some of Leighs honey BBQ boneless wings some chicken nachos, string cheese and a fruit snack!

We also put up a very long baby gait between the living room and stairs and he likes to go over and shake it, we keep telling him "not for Chasen" So now he will "sneak" over there looking back at you every couple of steps and then he will touch it, but not shake it. If he doesn't shake it Ill say thank you and clap and he comes RUNNING (yes, he runs) to me HUGS me ( I LOVE the hugs-- melts me heart)then he sneaks back to touch it and the game starts over :)

His favorite activity is dancing, and it is so stinking cute. He squats and bounces and waves his one arm in the air!
But last night, he spun himself in a circle on one foot, I'm not even kidding--I'm sure it was a fluke that he could do it and didn't even fall!

I have so much fun playing with him but I do miss those days of just holding my sleeping baby for hours even though I was going stir crazy and my butt was numb lol.
This freezing weather we've been having has been bringing back memories of winter and I spent most of my winter stuck inside our bedroom(because the rest of the house was to cold) rocking my little boy.
Now I have a pre-tod (pre toddler) and all though we are still in the same room as chasen we are upstairs and free to roam! And roam he does all around the house!

Chasen had fun, but I think the goat was scared.
No more babies until Feb. but I hope march because it can still be pretty cold in Feb.

last weekend we went to the game and had a great time, this weekend we are tailgating with lots of friends and tonight we are off to watch the huskers play!!!

11 MONTHS!!?!?!

How did that happen???

well, at 11 months he can walk very well and very fast.
He can dance and it is the cutest thing ever!! he really likes the banjo.

he can pick up a book and start reading it, this is his new favorite thing to do he just sits there and goes "dada daaa ti ti daa da da"

he weighs 24lbs 10oz
has 2 teeth on bottom 1 fully in on top and 2 on their way in on top.
He had his first cookie, first pancake, first pasta and first sippy cup of juice and he loved them all.

while at the park I kept trying to eat rocks so Dad taught me how to throw them instead!

this past month we have been dealing with ear infections, and he just finished his antibiotic for his 2nd in 3 weeks and is still tugging at his ears, so Im thinking tubes are in our future. This past week he spiked a 103+ fever so I took him to urgent care and thats how we found out about this 2nd ear infection.
Atleast they arent contagious so he can still go to school.

This weekend Ean and I went to the hawkeye game. I had gotten Ean tickets for fathers day. It was a good game but way to close we should have won by more then 3 points. Ean and I realized that we have seen Arkansas state play twice this year lol
They were the team we saw when we had tickets to the husker game.

While we were at the game Chasen got to spend the day and night with grammie and visit aunt trista and play with Garin!! Grammie said he was a really good boy and ate and slept good!
It was really weird to be home with out Chasen, it was so quiet. It was nice for a while and then ean and I were like .... uhhhh, its to quiet in here!

this weekend will be another football filled week/end!! We are going to BWW on thursday with some friends to watch the husker game then sat. we are tailgating in iowa city with my mom and aunt. They get to come experience how the Hawks tailgate!
