So right after Christmas/The New year Chasen went back to school for one day and had his ear tube taken out the next. It was a scheduled apt. so no more tubes for him!!!
I worked the first Friday in Jan. which was kind of nice since I hadn't been in 4 months, not much had changed and it felt good to go back.
that Saturday we had a movie night and made movie snack necklaces
Then the next week Chasen went to school one day and by the next day at noon he was complaining of a stomach ache, so I sent him to bed he woke up 3 hours later and still didn't feel good and just wanted to lay on the couch. still complaining of a stomach ache but no puking.
I had to go to work that night (they called me and asked and I said yes before I knew he was sick) so if he was gonna get sick I wanted him to do it all before I left so Ean didn't have to deal with it, well around 3pm that day he spiked a 102.9 fever!!! Yikes!! and started complaining of a sore throat :(
Never did puke, I went to work and took him to the Dr the next morning and his strep throat test came back negative. So he just had a virus. He had to stay home from school that next day.
Then following week, which was all last week we spent at home just relaxing, cleaning and watching movies, no one else ever did get sick. So Ean and I went on a mini vacation this sunday/monday to cedarburg, WI.
Ean had bought a groupon for $115 we got a room at The washington house inn. It was like a bed and breakfast, but bigger, had 34 rooms.
they had a complimentary wine and cheese hour every night which included good Wisconsin cheese, my favorite was the almond Swiss, strawberries, blackberries, grapes pretzels and honey mustard!
they also had an amazing breakfast in the morning....everything home made and recipes online!!
even with out the deal Id say its a bargain, better then doughnuts, toast, cheerios and waffles!
so anyway the rest of the groupon included 2 tickets to the movie theater, which was playing Here Comes the Boom!! it was good and funny!
and also included 2 tickets to tour the winery in town. and a $7 coupon for amys gourmet apples. we got a chocolate covered heath apple!! and shared it with Chasen.
we also went up to the Michigan lake just to look! It was really pretty and REALLY cold!!
But I wanted to walk out there so we did and I swear my eyeballs almost froze.

The boys stayed with Grammie and had a good time! And were pretty good, I think :)
It was nice to get away but this week has brought on more sickness as chasen woke up at 2am tuesday night/wednesday morning and puked alllllll over, which meant we were giving him a bath and doing laundry at 2am. We all fell asleep and in about an hour he puked again this time in our bed :( but we had him laying on an extra sheet and it wasn't much puke so we just rolled it up and threw it on the floor and went back to bed! lol *sigh*
hopefully we can all stay healthy for Dashtyns 1st brithday party on saturday!!
