Chasen has started to climb on everything!!
Here he is on the coffee table looking at me through the door while Im typing!
in the pictures you can also see in the background that the foot stool is in the chair because he likes to climb up there to...video on that later:)

My Little Boy

Chasen is getting so big lately! and looks so much like his daddy!With my lips and nose! Last Sunday I took him to his first ever Hawkeye event, a women's gymnastic meet with some friends from work! its weird to me how he looks so much like ean's baby pics but yet his nose and lips are so obviously mine!!
We went to the Dr this week, chasen had an upper resp infection and he is holding steady at 27lbs.
He refuses to eat his food unless its with a fork and has became really picky about what he wants and doesn't want and thats with EVERYTHING, not just food. He whines and screams when he doesn't get what he wants, he even whines at himself when he throws the ball and then has to go get it.
He is starting to talk more, no new words really, he is just using them in context. Like today we spent forever looking out the window and he would point at an animal and say doat(goat) and then point down the driveway and say Dad.
He has started to say Dad now instead of Dada all the time.
He walks to the door and says bye! He can also say door!
He is getting better at letting us know what he wants he just doesn't have any patients or words to use so we are constantly keeping our patients in check and repeating things to him over and over.
Like just now he brought his empty cup to me and screamed at me and I made him take the cup, walk with me to the fridge and keep saying more milk please, more milk! He didn't say it but I'm hoping he will figure it out!
He does understand most of what we say I can ask him to get me a ball, book, truck, puzzle, shoes, coat and he can do it, wont always do it, but he can.
I also have him climbing into and out of his car seat which saves on my back!
If you ask him can you say..... he will try his best to repeat it!
This morning he saw a pic of himself and said dada, and I said no that's Chasen, can you say Chasen and he said it clear as can be!! Now he wont say it at all.
You can ask him any question and the answer will always be no, with a little head shake.
He also has a 'lovey' that he has to sleep with and recently started needing to bring him downstairs to play.
and last but not least the video of him blowing bubbles!

2 Years

2 years ago TODAY I found out I was pregnant with this little baby, whom I had yet to meet and had no idea would change my life in the (bestest) way that it {he} has!!! (read that post here)
The reason I know the exact date without even thinking about it is because I found out the day before I was supposed to host a pledging party (a phi o thing from college) at my house! And that day is today!!
In relation to this exciting anniversary I would like to announce that I have gotten my period ON MY OWN for 3 months in a row (sorry if that was TMI, but really that is why I started this blog, to talk openly about infertility and my trials and triumphs!)
After I had Chasen I got my period a couple times on my own then didn't get it for 4 months so I went to my OBGYN and she called in the progesterone pills to force me to have a period (this is not to be confused with the clomid I took to get pregnant) and ever since I took that one dose I have been regular and haven't needed to take it to get my period.
I think that my body has {maybe} regulated itself, in a way.
Absent periods are only one of the MANY signs and symptoms of PCOS. But I have been working hard at eating healthy and working out (some) and maybe it has worked!!
We have been thinking about trying for #2 and have been crunching numbers to determine how we could afford for me to stay home or for 2 kids to go to a better more expensive daycare.
I think our daycare is fine, but would like my children to go somewhere where they will learn more and not just play all day.
any way
I feel like maybe this is God's way of telling me that we should try to have a baby now since my body is "ready" and working and not wait for all the cards to fall into place.
I have had so many people tell me that we shouldn't wait (to long) because we could miss our chance.
and I dont want that at all, I've been told to base my decision on what we want as a family, which is 3 (or so) kids close(r) in age.
when you put it that way it seems like such an easy answer....
but, Im just not sure.
I want another baby, I just dont know how to decide when I want it and I feel like since my body is working we are wasting a valuable opportunity by not trying....

Im sure in 2 years from now I will look back at this post and laugh thinking what was I so worried and confused about.. you want another baby...so have one....

Stop It!

while we were in Nebraska Chasen said his first phrase, "Stop it" we were sitting in the car and Alyssa was messin with his mohawk and he said as clear as can be "Stop it" then we tried to get him to say it for the camera...

I got mom the best gift ;) her grandson of course(its the gift that keeps on giving) and a calender with pictures of all the family on it!

we also got to go to Jackson's speech meet and see him preform his OID which was really cool to see, its the same event I did in high school!
of course there was bath time, playing with Lily, helping great grandpa with the fire and that awful 7 hour drive home in the snow...

Then we went ot the alumni basketball game to hang out with some of my friends!
Sunday was a good relaxing Valentines day, Joellyn was down for the weekend so Ean and I got to go out to eat, rent a couple movies and go grocery shoping

I'm Still in Love....

This may sound familiar to you because I first posted about my love for younger men here :) But, Im 'still' in love with a much younger (not so bald) man with fat rolls, incontinence issues and bad table manners!! he grabbed the can of peaches right off the table and started eating out of the can

Snow for Christmas

Even though Christmas (in nebraska) was celebrated on super bowl Sunday we still had Snow.....

All the cows and goats outside waiting for food!


Well in the past couple of days we have had 8 baby goats lost 3, due to we dont know what, and still have 5 out there!

when we came home from work the other night Ean was out in the shed laying straw because it was going to be below zero so we went out to see him and the other goats, and chasen got to pet lil John the mini cow!! He even licked us which scared Chasen.
Then we drove over to the other shed and by we I mean chasen, he loved that:)



Then we went in the shed to pet the baby goats and cow:)
meanwhile Ean got his truck stuck so then chasen and I tried to pull him out with the suburban but that didnt work so he had to dig it out, pooor thing :(

Our newest calf now named Jack-frost who is 9 months old

got hypothermia and was taken to the vet where he spent the night on a warmer and was monitored for organ failure and he turned out okay!!(so far) He is now in the heated shed with the baby goats!

at first he cried when I put him down but then I moved the big mama goats to a corner and Chasen loved the little kids:)

Holy Mol(ar)y

Chasen is getting his first molars on the bottom and they are HUGE!!!!
they aren't through yet and I hope they come through on the first time and dont go back down like his incisors are. He still only has two teeth on the bottom.

we had a great weekend back home for Christmas!
but it took us 7hours and 42 minutes to get home...ahhhhh!!!

Im so sick of snow.

Racing the sun home

Last night & tonight we beat the sun home!!
Which makes me really happy because Im sick of the cold, darkness of winter.
Im so ready for spring to take Chasen out side and play till we are so tired we fall asleep on the porch swing. And to eat dinner on the porch right off the grill around 7pm because its still light out!!!!

Until then we will play inside with our trucks....



He was very serious about his truck playing tonight, no goofing around and he didn't want me to play with them, he had a plan and it was HIS
I wonder how many other plans he will have in the future that I wont be able to control or help him with....
