2 weekends ago we went to Kansas for the first time with out kids to visit the zuccarelli's
It was a parents retreat which started saturday morning with a 7mile run which hurt but was so awesome to run with Britton again!
then we went out for kolaches, back for a nap then off to a winery
we were on our 2nd tasting glass when Ean's phone rang....it was my mom
I knew something was wrong....figured it was Kevin.

mom said chasen hit his head and is going to ER
I asked what happened and she said she was in the car with him so I had to ask questions she would answer yes or no!
NOT a fun game of charades lol
so what happened was him, ava, lily an dash were playing/wrestling upstairs and Chasen went to push Dash an Ava was trying to protect dash and pushed Chasen and he hit the wall
Granny and Jason were in the house heard the thud&scream and were first on the scene
Lily ran to get Grama
the bleeding did stop but grama and lisa took him to the ER
they said he was crying for dad and was not getting in the car unless they were taking him home, he didnt want to go to the ER because people would look at him so my aunt went into ER first and told them not to make eye contact with him LOL
he went in with no problems they "poked his hair" aka lidocane shots
an he played a game on Lisa's phone while he got 7!!!! staples.
He was very brave an they were back in time for the husker kick off
I talked to him after and he said mom you know I bleed husker red!?! The dr said he'd be worried if was bleeding hawkeye gold!
I got plenty of picture updates and called everyone to get their versions and they all assured me I didnt need to come get him so we continued our adult day!

I got a text later that day that said
Chasen said he isn't going to let his zipper get him down!
and it never did
I walked him into school monday so i could let the teacher know and to have her make sure he takes it easy on the playground
she asked if I wanted him to pick a friend and just stay inside and play
ummmmm good luck with that (is what i was thinking) but I just said no :)
he got then out on friday and was a pro, it hurt but he wanted to show me how brave I was since I wasn't there to see when he got them!
