This past weekend was the only weekend we had free in June and so we stayed home!!!
Friday night we had friends over for brats, playing with kids and a bonfire!

On saturday we went to the freedom festival in cedar rapids! Above Chasen and Daddy are eating a sucker while watching the dock dogs jump into a pool
then it was off to the BBQ round up for ribs, beer and we discovered chasen is allergic to pink lemonade...Dashtyn was the happiest baby ever!!!
and chasen had fun in the wowballs...mostly just lounging in it...your supposed to walk in them!

chasen was finally hungry at 9pm and got the cheesiest mac and cheese Ive ever seen!
ean said pushing this stroller was like driving a limo it is so long.
we ended the night with fire works in fairfax
sunday was spent at home bathing our dirty lil monkeys!!
first time they have taken a bath together... Dashtyn loved it!!
Now we are headed to Nebraska tomorrow or wed. Ean is doing my moms roof/windows and we are going to Anns 40 1/2 birthday block party!! and my mom is having a 4th of July party on saturday!
I have a feeling we will need another leepster soon.....but as you can see in the video below chasen is doing a good job sharing and putting up with Dashtyn's rough housing
well, he wants what chasen has and wants to do what chasen does
He wants to play but gets so frustrated.
Then when he is eating he will eat for 30 sec then is distracted by big brother and squirms and cries to go play with him, but gets mad when he plays with him because he can't move and do what big brother does.
I almost want him to start crawling/walking so I dont have to listen to him scream/whine all day......
but I suppose once he is moving around their will be other screams like "mooooooom dashtyn took my truck"...

Chasen actually told me "mom I can't eat my lunch he is being so loud. why is he always so loud? Lets take him back."
and he has never asked to 'take him back' .... :)

we spent part of fathers day in des moines meeting my mom and aunt at the cheesecake factory for lunch and to get our boys back!!
Chasen was really excited to see dad and hugged him lots and told him happy fathers day!
Then we went to north english for fathers day dinner with Eans dad and family.
we also went to Garins T-ball game and Papa let chasen out on the field (they didnt care)

chasen spent time with uncle chris at first base wearing his hat lol
the whole thing was so cute. Chasen is going to love T-ball next summer when he can play. Its a good thing him and Garin aren't on the same team because they spent a lot of time talking and playing in the dirt!
when we got home we had fathers day pie and opened his cards and presents (brownie with cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries on top)
Ean and I celebrated 6 years this weekend. The traditional gift this year was iron and candy. Symbolizing that the relationship is strong yet sweet!
So i got Ean a drink tub for outside to put at wolf pack park to hold his beers, the stand is made of iron and the tub/bucket made of metal has "The Caskeys" on it.
He got me some iron picture frame.
we always follow the traditional gift ideas just as something fun to do, some years we get good gifts others its a little hard and the gifts are more of aa joke....and we kinda make it a competition as who was the best or most clever:)
My mom had the kids and Joellyn took Kevin so Ean and I could go to des moines for a night away! We went to the blue Moon piano club and watched dueling pianos. One of the guys was in the Guinness book of world records twice for fastest player and the other guy could play the piano and the trumpet....at the same time!
We had a lot of fun:)
The next morning we met my mom at the cheesecake factory for lunch and to get our Boys back!:)
I also got a tattoo that I have been wanting for a long time.
Ean once told me (back when we were dating) when I was having a bad week. that our relationship/life was like a puzzle and as long as we had each other the rest would fall into place...
Id say 6 years later there isn't much I can complain about. We are very blessed. So its my constant reminder of how sweat my hubby is and basically not to sweat the little stuff because it doesn't matter!
