Today's View

we went to the coralville dam today, it's pumping out full blast! 

played at the park and had a picnic with friends.

The river is expected to crest this weekend possibly going over the spill way again like it did 5 years ago

 at first Reis and Chasen were timid

 Dash and Ty enjoyed watching

 

 it stormed a couple times today

and then right at bed time we saw a rainbow.

A Favorite Spot

we have some favorite spots around these parts!

one of them the fossil gorge by the coralville dam

I would take Chasen here all the time when I was pregnant, he was able to navigate the terrain on his own...

This was Dashtyn's first time and he couldn't quite keep up with big bro

and he kept getting distracted by sticks!

we also went to the park there

Memorial Weekend

Friday night we went to north english and got to have some drinks with Trista and friends!

Saturday we went to the Grinnell pumpkin farm to celebrate Nile's 1st birthday! :)

unfortunately it was raining, but we still had fun inside.

Dashtyn loved the variety of baby birds

he kept say awwww, ooooow

and he put his finger in and touched one and squealed with excitement.

Dashtyn would not sit in a high chair and had to sit with the big boys...

.... it was a mess, but he enjoyed it.

we did go jump on the jumpy pillow in the rain for a bit

afterwards we went to Joellyn's for a nap then off to Trista's

we were supposed to camp but the rain and cold weather meant we all slept inside

we did get to have a fire though!

sunday we took our time waking up at trista's and had a big breakfast and headed home around 11

we then met our friends at bobbers where once again the rain forced us inside....

but once again we let the kids out in the rain, Chasen actually fell off the swing into a huge puddle! 

Monday was spent relaxing while Ean worked half the day.
