Margarita Mama

First of all I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY VERY OWN MAMA!!! LOVE YOU :)

So, I have been trying to find a permanent name for my blog and the new name of my blog will be Margarita Mama and here is why:
when I think of margaritas I think of relaxing on the beach without a care in the world. And that is kind of how I am. I'm a very easy going, laid back, person who doesn't have an organizational or cleaning bone in her body. I don't care what other people think about me. I like to cut corners and do things in the easiest way possible. I fly by the seat of my pants and that's just the way it is! My laundry isn't folded, my bed is never made, and the dishes pile up, Id rather be outside in the sun then do any sort of house work. Plus I could live on salsa and a good margarita!

Tomorrow marks 6 months!! 113 days to go!!! WOW its going by pretty fast, all though every time I feel the baby move (which is a lot now) I want to have it and meet and and hold it and see what/who it looks like.
Right now the baby is a foot long and weighs a little over a pound.
Ean and I went to a wedding this weekend and the baby started to move a lot because of the vibrations from the music and Kirsten got to feel the baby kick!

This weekend we are going to finish painting the baby's room and hopefully start painting in our new bedroom upstairs, first we have to remove the mold on the walls that got there when to roof leaked, but we have a new roof now!

Belly pictures to come soon, I don't think my 5mo to 6mo pic is going to look much different, I haven't really gotten any bigger and I only gained one pound this month so I guess that means next month I will have a growth spurt....bring on the coco & shea tummy butter!

More room please

Yes, I know I'm not even 6 months yet but when the baby turns a certain way we run out of room and it is very uncomfortable for me, it hurts and gives me what feels like a constant side ache. I nicely poke and push but it only moves if it wants to (which only confirms my gender prediction below)
The kicking has been getting stronger which is cool because you can really feel it on the outside, but it is only cool if it is not kicking my bladder.
I have also noticed that I can feel when the baby is rotating. I get this feeling in my stomach that kinda hurts and cant be felt on the outside and then all of a sudden there is a really hard spot in my stomach, either a head or a butt!
I haven't felt the baby hiccup yet but I can tell the difference between kicks/punches and just little movements like maybe it is grasping, that feels like fish swimming in my stomach lol.


So everyone who has responded to my baby photos and blog have said that the baby is a GIRL and that SHE has my nose, I found this quite interesting because the comments came from family, friends and co-workers, people who wouldn't talk to each other and be persuaded by each other.
But since the beginning I have felt like the baby is a boy, I don't know why I just had this feeling.
Well, now I feel like it is a girl:
in one of my earlier posts I said that we would know the sex by the way the baby acted and if it was a boy it would be quiet and naughty; giving me heartburn, constipation, etc. and that if it was a girl she would be outwardly naughty and kick me and my ribs and bladder.
well.....yesterday on the way home from Nebraska I was driving and kinda had to pee and all of a sudden it was like a marching band was marching right over my bladder and it wasn't a consistent march but sporadic so that I couldn't prepare and would get caught off guard and almost pee my pants (for the record I have not peed my pants, yet) so this was when I decided that the baby is a girl.

This was my favorite picture, in person you could really see the lips and it looked like the baby was kissing us:)That makes me think its a girl but Trista said maybe it was trying to make goat lips (like Ean always does to people) which would totally mean its a boy!

I will be 22 weeks tomorrow and I feel really good!
The baby is still moving around, kicks are getting stronger and it definitely moved around during the ultrasound today which was cool. It was so good to get to see it in there, really amazing:)
My mom came down this weekend and we worked on the nursery. Its going to be all cream walls, white trim, then we are going to put up a chair rail and have peachy orange and cream stripes, I will post pics when it is finished. The furniture will be brown and Im going to decorate with Noah's ark!
I started wearing maternity pants for the first time on Monday.....and they seriously are the most comfortable things in the world...even if you have to pull them up past your belly button! So I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to my Aunt Ann and Cousin Tammi for all the maternity clothes...I have a closet full of clothes I didnt have to buy!! and that helps tremendously:)

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming

The baby has been "swimming" allot lately. It has been going on the past couple weeks after I finally figured out what it was I was feeling.
It is really weird and really hard to describe, its like a fish swimming in you, or someone tickling you on the inside?? I don't know its hard to explain, but I know its the baby because its something I've never felt before.
I don't feel it very often because it has so much room to swim around in there that it isn't always touching my uterus, but it is much more active if Ive been laying down for a while.
So last night I was laying down and had been on my left side for quite some time and the baby was really active so I decided to press on it AND
IT PRESSED BACK!!!!
So I made Ean press on my tummy and it took a couple tries but he felt it too!!
It is so cool and weird :)

Super Sized

This is what I was telling myself in the dressing room and I actually make Ean tell me "honey you look really pregnant" instead of "honey you look really pretty"

I also am having alot of troubles finding anything that fits and looks good, Maternity shirts, Even in sm are to big and look like tarps on me and large reg. clothes are sorta tight, like my belly really sticks out. My last pair of jeans doesn't fit anymore even though I ware them but have to unbutton them when I sit down, I don't know what it is with the weird maternity pants but I really don't want to wear them and I don't want to get that huge...but I guess its time to face reality...as Ean said "hun, your gonna get like 3x's as big as you are now"

So recently I have gotten much bigger (I took a pic but can't download it till I find the cord)like it gets in my way bigger, I can't squeeze through chairs at lunch, or behind wheel chairs, between doors.
And since it is officially summer I have had to buy a swimming suit, which in fact is stylish/cute but I still feel like people think Im just fat and not pregnant, especially when I go to the pool with my skinny friends...but I enjoy it any way.
If you would like to see my stylish non maternity swim suit come to mom's on the 4th, although at the rate we are growing I may have a new one.

I had an appointment on friday
I gained 5lbs...last apt I lost 2 so we're doin good
The baby's heart beat was 144bpm
and they actually measured me with a tape measure and she said Im measuring normal.
I'm really starting to show now, before it was kinda questionable but now I think its pretty obvious Im pregnant. I think it just popped over the weekend.
Ean looked at me sat. night and goes "your starting to look pregnant"
uhhhh....thank you!
I dont feel any movement yet :/

well its time to start looking for a baby sitter....if you live in the MV lisbon area and have any suggestions/recommendations PLEASE let me know!
