Your probably thinking to yourself...whats new?! You guys are always busy going somewhere doing something!
True!
So last weekend was no different!and probably one of our more busy weekends!
we left Friday at 2:30 with plans to attend Jackson's football game at 7pm but instead got to my moms house at 10pm because I forgot the tickets to the game which added an extra hour to our trip and ean had to stop 2 times once to pick up a check once to drop off tools and 3 more times to use the bathroom putting us 3 hours off schedule. oh man!
So we woke up Saturday morning and rode with my mom the 30 min drive to David city to watch Jackson play football.
They lost 70-0 :/

I got to see a good, friend from high school that I haven't seen since my freshman year of college, her 4 year old son husband and baby bump! How did that happen..how did we get old with kids and husbands?!!
Chasen and Kevin rode on the extra 30 min to Columbus with my mom where they would celebrate the husker game with great grandma and grandpa, my sister, my aunt and 2 cousins.
Ean and I rode back to my moms with my dad got into my moms car and drove another 30min to Lincoln
where we tailgated like husker rock stars!

mmmm a red beer!!

My grandma gave ean tickets to the game and so we went!

after the 3rd quarter the 2 people in front of us left and the people behind us left so we got to recline and watch the end of the game!

We spent the night in Lincoln at my aunt and uncles house
woke up early so we could drive 1hr 45min to Columbus where we met my entire family for Sunday brunch to celebrate my grandmas 70th birthday!
I don't have any pics of this because I was busy stuffing my face with great food and chasing around my child!
but we all looked very nice:)

we all went to the horse races after that

where I unfortunately experienced one of the most awful experiences of my life.
We got to the races and looked at the book and saw that #4 named Aly's prince was racing so we decided to bet on in in honor of my sister who had to go to work. her bday is the 4th and we call her Al or Aly (among other names)
So we are watching the race and all of a sudden Aly's prince falls to the ground tries to get back up and its legs buckle and it falls to the ground
I knew immediately what had happened and what was about to happen.
The horse had broken its leg.
People came running from all directions, ambulance, vet, and a horse trailer.
They held up a tarp and put hte big beautiful horse to sleep right there on the track then drug it into the back of the trailer.
after all that I didn't even want to stay and watch any more.
we have been to the races so many times and Ive never seen that or seen it on TV.
But that's what they have to do the horse is first of all in excruciating pain and its nearly impossible to heal a broken leg let alone afford to try. The horse usually ends up dying any way.
It was just so sad.
But the races went on and we ate cheese nachos, cheese fries, beer, popcorn and rode ponies

Chasen was IN LOVE not only could he watch ponies go fast, he got to see tractors, run free, ride a pony and the choo choo train was right next to the horse races so he got to see that too!
We went back to Granny and grandpas had cupcakes
who let her light her own birthday candles?!!?

that chasen lily and ava decorated and called it an early night.
We were getting up to go to the zoo!!
