Because I have been miserable.
Sorry, yes I know I shouldn't complain but its true.
Im so nauseated ALLLLLLLLL day until about 8pm.
and this is why I think twins.
Your hormone leves are higher with more then one and then drop off at night.
and last time (with chasen) I was sick in the morning until about 11am. But that didn't start until about 9 weeks.
I'm only 6 weeks and living on bland carbs, and lemon water. By the time 8pm rolls around I'm eating like a pig though! Ean was amazed I almost ate an entire pizza with out batting an eye. Not the most healthy choice but at least I'm not puking (yet)
with Chasen I puked every day, in the car on the way to work for several weeks.
poor chasen has put up with quite a sick mama for the past couple of days. I dozed off while he was reading a book about naming 1,000 trucks to me.
Hope fully it gets better soon.
Either way it will be worth it!!

Best Buds
after my family came down the Zuccarelli's came to visit!
we played outside allot and just basically hung out!
Britton starts residency soon and will be working 6 days a week so it was good to see them before that starts up!
Chasen really likes Marshall and talks about him all the time, but when ever he is around him he just bosses him around lol.
Someday soon Marshall will be able to give it back! :)

372 days
Its been a long year.
a long year of tests and ultra sounds, of shots and tears, of heartbreak and confusion and lots of money!
but we are finally done with it all because
WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!! PREGNANT, PREGNANT, PREGNANT!
I had my blood HCG levels tested on the 31st and they came back at 572mIU/ml
the reason they did a blood test was to determine if I was having a tubule pregnancy.
If the HCG # is to low then that's how they determine a chemical pregnancy or tubal pregnancy or possibly lots of babies.
We only had the levels tested once. They double every 72 hours (i think or 48) so if we had tested it more then once it would be more accurate to determine multiples.
But as of right now I can tell you that our # of 572 is high for a single pregnancy and normal for a twin pregnancy.
for single baby 303 is normal and 514 is high
for twins 499 is normal and 2509 high
so its a big range but I wanted to give you and idea of what we are looking at:)
I had 3 good sized eggs that I ovulated.
we find out on June 20th how many Caskey's we will be adding to our family!
Ill admit my initial reaction for a couple of days actually was relief. Then I got excited!
I know Ill be more excited when I see the little flicker(s) on the screen!
I could hear the sight of relief in Ean's response as well when I told him.
It has just been a long long time.
This guy on the other had was really excited!
(he helped make the shirt)
so excited that he was jumping up and down ;)
and then had to go tell everyone on the farm
okay not really But the Zuccarellis were here ane we had to go pet the goats!
I told him "Chasen, we're gonna have a baby!"
and he gasped a breath of excitement, not relief, and smiled.
Then I said "your gonna be a big brother!"
and he just smiled from ear to ear!
I asked him what kind of baby he wanted and he said "A BIG one"
that's all I really said to him about it.
2 days later he went to daycare and TOLD EVERYONE!!!
one of the other girls there is going to be a big sister and they were talking about her baby and Chasen said "I'm gonna be a big brother"
You can imagine my surprise when I picked him up and Nanny told me congratulations!
I was going to send him to school in a Big Brother shirt in like a month.
Oh well :)
It really doesn't bother me to tell people so early. Everyone knows we are trying and if I'm not talking/blogging about my infertility you must be assuming Im pregnant and that's just rude not to telly you :)
Plus if something bad did happen we would need every one's support any way!
So on that note I'm only 5 weeks pregnant with a due date of Feb. 5th :)
we told everyone in our families over he phone because they all knew we were getting the blood test done.
The only people I got to tell in person were Leigh & Jess and our fiends at Alana and Brittyn's birthday parties this weekend
and Britton and Jordan of course because they were here.
Its funny Britton was the 1st person (besides ean) to know I was pregnant with Chasen and the first person this time too!
Now it's time to weigh in How many babies do you think there are?

Bobbers
A great restaurant in North Liberty to take your kids to.
We went a couple weeks ago with mine and Chasen's friends.
Its a bar so you can eat inside
OR
You can order your food and eat it outside right on the lake by swings and they have a craft drawer full of chalk and markers and paper for the kids.
Perfect!

Landscaping
While my family was down we did a lot of landscaping around our entire house.
We bought lots of new plants and bushes
and 3 loads of river rock.

inbetween the garage and house used to be all weeds
lily was the boss!

we are sill putting rock around the pool and more plants on the back side of the garage!
It finally looks nice:)
