While Im at Work

Ean sends me this pic in a text message " I wondered why I stopped hearing foot steps"

Ean had put chasen to be and then went down stairs to do some work and said about every 10min or so he would hear lil foot steps run across the floor then run back to bed. We usually leave our door open and chasen usually comes in once to say good night.
But this night Ean had shut the door and when he went up to go to bed he opened it to find chasen had fallen asleep looking under the door for daddy

The Circus

On the drive home from North English Sunday we decided we would go to the Circus in Moline!
So we dropped off Kevin and drove an hour and 20min to the Circus.
While we were standing in line to get our tickets the sweetest old couple ever gave us 3 FREE tickets It would have cost us $51 otherwise.
We got to sit right next to them and I think they really enjoyed getting to see the excitement on Chasen's face.
(see it's good to attract old people. Have I ever mentioned that here?
Seriously Im like and old people magnet!)

So off to the circus we went!

we all watched in amazement as 7 bikes drove in the cage together. CRAZY!!

NOT Fair Weather Fans

poor Ean he tried to have a good 30th birthday but we just couldn't catch a break lol
We did have fun and laughed our way through most of it:)



We left when they evacuated the stadium (heard it was the first time they had ever done that)for a 30min delay.
It's one thing to sit and watch the game in he rain but to stand for 30min (which turned into like 80min)in a parking garage in soaking wet maternity pants .... not gonna happen! Now had I been able to go back to the tailgate and have a few beers, No problem:) :)
we made it home in time to see the start of the husker game!!

I think we proved to ourselves that we are worthy enough for season tickets next year!!!
Im working really hard on Ean, I think he's almost cracked:)

Now we will see whats works, a monsoon or freezing weather and snow at the IA vs NEB game in Nov.
That will be the real test!

Dirty 30

well turning 30 defiantly turned dirty.
Ean's birthday was Monday and that's when I noticed that we had been robbed.

I noticed the laptop was gone but just thought Ean had took it to work.
Then a couple hours later I went to get the mail and found our cordless home phone in the mail box ringing (creepy) with only one piece of mail.
When Ean got home he noticed the laptop and charger and black berry and charger were gone. Crazy thing is they were both plugged in under the fax machine and I can't believe they didn't knock anything over including ean's stacks of papers.

Im not gonna type out all the details as that would take forever but we think it happened either sat night while ean was home, i was at work and chasen was at grammies or Sunday before 9pm because that's when we got home.

The police came out and took a statement on Monday night after we gave Ean his birthday gifts. Poor guy.

Tuesday ean called the online service he uses to back up all the stuff on the laptop and found that the person who stole it logged in created a user name and downloaded music. we go an IP address and now the detective is tracking it down.

needless to say we lock our doors now!
I'm not as scared as I was cause I think it's a kid not a mass murderer

So on sunday we went to North English to celebrate the big 3 0


Chasen's gift to ean was a pinata. He saw it at the store while I was getting a card and kept asking to get it for daddy. So we did!






Monday Night, Ean's actual birthday wasn't just spent with the police we did give Ean his gifts.

a custom painting on a window from the doorm where Ean and I met spent lots of time together and fell in love awwww:) its a painting of 2 runners running through the trees with Ean's 800 record time, our initials and the XC logo.

He also got a sweet card from chasen and tickets to the hawkeye game.
Then Chasen got a low grade fever and was complaining of a sore throat, and rocks in this throat so he slept in our bed and drooled all night on daddys pillow :(

all that considered I think Ean had an okay 30th birthday:)
