I Did It!

took both boys to the store

i think we got 7 things

but i felt like super woman!
which lead me to sign up for this and this. They are 5k's with 12 mud obstacles lots of climbing, and crawling up and through things and jumping over fire!!

now, finding time to work out is nearly impossible
we got a treadmill which kinda helps except for once I got dashtyn laid down and on the thing It wasn't even 7 min and he was screaming.
Im mostly concerned about the strength stuff like climbing over a wall so Ive been trying to focus on my arms and abs but its hard to feel like I'm getting anywhere when Im constantly interrupted!
but when I do find time and am successful I really feel like super woman.

This also made me feel like super woman
but I can't run cause it bounces baby to much but I worked up a sweat just walking these 3 around town yesterday. I mean I'm pushing at least 50lbs.

working out means I don't have time for other things though like cleaning that sticky spot off the kitchen floor thats been there for 2 days or the laundry mountain.
some day Ill figure out how to do it all, maybe when Dashtyn is a little bigger!

and the women who can do it all, well, they really are super woman!!
Im just in training.

Routine

So I think I've sorta figured out Dashtyn's routine.
He gets up at 5:30/6 eats and then sleeps till 8 or 9 eats again and sleeps till noon
then he is up from noon till 6pm during this time he will be awake and happy from about noon to noon-thirty, playing and cooing and smiling and talking to his brother.

then he eats then he cries, sleeps for 10min wakes up cries, looks around, cries, I swaddle him he sleeps for 20min I put him down for 5min he wakes up cries, I hold and rock him he sleeps, he eats 1oz sleeps 20min eats again, cries, at some point I will let him cry for a while then i pick him up and he will sleep for 45min, wake up cry, and basically want to be held.
this continues till about 6pm (just in time for dad to get home)
then he eats sleeps till 8pm(lucky dad) eats, hangs out, sleeps, eats at 10:30/11 goes to bed then is up at 2am then up again at 4am and then again at 6am and it all starts over!

it's the afternoons that kill me.
Its exhausting because I dont know what he wants during those 4-6 hours.
Chasen's fussy time was from 6pm to 10pm at this age and that was no fun cause by then we were all really exhausted.
atleast I have some energy in the afternoon to deal with it!!

we are headed to nebraska in the early morning, I can't wait!!
I havent been home for several months, I think the IA vs NE game was the last time.

Meeting Best Friends

The Zuccarelli's came to visit for a long weekend!!! We hadn't seen each other since June.
Marshall and Chasne had fun together and "Marshall love baby" last time we saw Marshall he was only talking a little now him and chasen are able to talk to each other!

we took the boys to see the lorax at the bijou and had a good time. It was a good movie
and before they had to head home on Tuesday we went to the children's museum

it was dashtyns first time going and he did pretty good in the sling. There is no way I could take both kids alone. we had 3 kids and 3 adults. I had my eyes on dashtyn a lot when he was fussy and when I was feeding him, Im sure I would have lost chasen had I gone alone.

chasen wanted Dash and I to get in the plane with him and pretend to fly so we went to mexico. :)
they got into town on saturday night and britton and I were able to go back to a phi o party for a short while before we retired to our old stomping grounds at chameleons where shane made us amazing bloody marys just like he did so many years ago!!

it was great to chat and catch up with out screaming over kids lol

we are going to head to kansas sometime in may to visit them!
we can't wait!!

This Week

So Dashtyn has been throwing up allot and eating less at each feeding but he does eat more frequently but I was worried so I decided to take him to the DR. this week to see if he might have acid reflux like chasen did. although chasen screamed all the time and Dash doesn't, as much.

This was my first time taking both boys out alone (besides taking chasen to daycare) and we had to be there at a certain time.

We did it, no problems and chasen was really good and protective of his brother.
when they had me lay him on the exam table Chasen goes
"they aren't going to give him any pinches or shots!"
I said no not this time but he will have to next time.
"NO! No he wont"
I guess I wont be taking chasen to that appointment if I can help it.

any way I was most concerned about Dashtyn not eating enough or gaining enough.
Well, they weighed him and he weighed in a 11lbs 3oz!!
So, I decided not to put him on meds for acid reflux. The doc said he could have it but wasn't to concerned since he was gaining (chasen was loosing when he had it)
But they said if it got worse I could just call them and they would call in the prescription.
But I think Ill just wait for his 2 month appointment and see how his weight is.
Sometimes I think its what I ate that makes him fussy/puke because yesterday was AWFUL he puked after every feeding and screamed for about half an hour straight at one point.
Today, he is a sleeping angle with no spit up.
who knows?!

Last night I got to go out with some friends for a couple of hours, which was awesome and much MUCH needed!
and tonight the Zuccarelli's are coming for a couple of days!!! We haven't see each other since this summer.

Tumbling Class

So we took chasen to a trial tumbling class on Thursday to see if he would like it.
He keeps talking about wanting to play baseball and soccer but he can't until he is 4
when I ask him to pick up his toys his excuse is
"I can't because Ill be to tired for baseball practice when Im 4"
such as smarty pants.

It was a very busy place and very loud and when they came out to call his "class" I walked him to the door (parents couldn't go in) and he screamed that he didn't want to go and that he wanted me to go with him.
another mom said he could hold her son's hand and go with him. I told him it was going to be fun and he would get to do somersaults and jump on the trampoline. He said
"but I don't know how to do those fings"
and the teacher said she would teach him and he took her hand and away he went...
my big boy :(
So ean and I stood there watching through the ridiculously small window (they really need to remodel and make it so parents can watch) bobbing out heads and standing on tip toes so we could see.
I was so proud of him doing things he didn't know how to do and listening to the teacher and talking to kids he had never met.
First they did stretches then some somersaults and a hand stand and took turns jumping on the trampoline and they did somersaults down and inclined mat.
When the half hour was over they sat down and got stamps on their feet and then Chasen came through the door, saw us and shouted
"mom I did it and I wasn't scared! I did it all by myself!!" :)

I almost cried. So of course we will be signing him up, not sure exactly when yet but in the next month or so.

we are also going to sign him up for 3 year old preschool in September in mt. vernon.
at first we weren't going to do 3 year old preschool because I don't really feel it is necessary, Im able to teach him here.
But he keeps talking about wanting to go to school and the one day he went to preschool with garin for an hour he loved it and still talks about it weekly and that was 4 months ago.
So we paid to hold his spot and he will go tue and thur 9 to 11 I think or 11:30.

He also tells me he can't pick up his toys because when he is 7 he will have football practice...

"But mooooom Ill be to tired for football practice when Im 7"

and this smily little guy will just have to put up with being toted around from activity to activity until he is old enough to join.

And soon all my evening and weekends will be filled with running boys from sport to sport!
