The Pal

a couple weeks ago we hung out at the pal with Amy, the river is so low you could go out really far! We had a picnic and took a hike and all on a Wednesday because Amy works nights!! Its nice to have people to hang out with during the week:)

4 Month Stats

Dashtyn had his 4 month check up on Monday

He weights 16lbs 4oz and is 26.5 inches long
he was 75% for weight and 95% for height

we did have to switch formula, the Dr was concerned about him having only watery stools and not clay like consistency.
He isn't sick though and isn't dehydrated or loosing weight so she said not to get worked up!

we made the switch on Monday and have had 3 messy, sticky poos!!! and less frequent spit up, still a lot of volume when he does spit up though.

i dont like tummy time!

he can roll from his back to stomach. has been able to do that for a while now, but he hates when he rolls and gets stuck on his stomach. His arms get in the way and he can roll back to his back.
He did scoot backwards while on his tummy today and turned in a half circle all to reach a toy big bro was playing with.... soon, to soon he will be on the move and into everything.
He is so squirmy and wiggles and kicks his legs all the time and grabs at anything you have in your hand!
Don't try eating with him on your lap unless you want to ware your food!!

my mom was cleaning out our pool when garin decided to stip down and get in lol then we had to let chasen in!


we had such a good time with all of our families. Someone came up to us after church and said it was so nice to see so many family members at the baptism and all I could think to say was thank you, we are so lucky!!

6 years ago Ean and I were cleaning up our house the best we could so our family could come over and help me celebrate graduation from cornell. When i think about it, graduating from college only seems like a couple years ago (and sometimes I still act like it!)

6 years ago this weekend our bedroom was downstairs and none of the walls in our house were painted.
We had just moved in a few months prior.

And now this weekend we are cleaning our house that has painted walls and all the rooms are finished up stairs and we are working on a swing set as I type this ....for our families to come and stay at our house so we can celebrate the baptism of our SECOND son!
SECOND!!!! wait, what!??!!
wasn't it just yesterday that I was planning which party to go to this weekend and not to mention planning our wedding which was 2 weeks after my graduation.

time always manages to sneak up on me and then I wake up one morning with 2 Boys in my finished bedrooms upstairs!

Hello! whose house is this, and whose kids are those. Where is my mom and why am I in Iowa?!?!!
sometimes I feel like Jeniffer Garner in 13 going on 30, except its more like 21 going on 38-- or something like that :)

Time, it always sneaks up on me at the most random moments like at 5:45 this morning as I was feeding Dashtyn, I found myself thinking about all this.
