This Past Weekend

My Aunt Lisa came down to visit! She and Ean watched the Boy's Saturday night while I went to a bachelorette party.
But first we went to the Sutliff bridge for some lunch with friends

 I have also posted some pictures from last week, playing outside, bath time and PJ time

Ready For Halloween

we bought and painted some wooden masks last week 

 and alyssa got chasen an early birthday gift

 

 dashtyn has started to do what big brother does and the other day it was playing drums!!
I seriously didn't help him at all, chasen was doing it and dash found the other bucket and started to copy him!

 as  soon as dashtyn does figure out how to walk these two will destroy my house ...

Stomach Flu and 4 Teeth

So last week on thursday chasen came home from preschool and was exceptionally cranky at his corn and nothing else and yelled and screamed at me that he was tired and going to bed. After 2 hours of sleeping I woke him up and he immediately told me his stomach hurt, I thought he was probably hungry since he didnt eat lunch but then he told me it felt gurgley and he needed to lay back down....... an hour later I had him on the couch, towel and bowl but he turned and puked into the arm/back of the couch so it pooled under the couch....thank god its leather...took me 45min to clean up meanwhile dashtyn was screaming in his crib....

Chasen puke 4 more times that night... he was so scared every time it happened and needed me to run his back, he was dry heaving and said why does it hurt so bad.

I felt helpless...nothing I could do for him :(

but by friday morning he was ready to rock and roll. I had to beg him to sit down cause I knew he hadn't eaten anything since lunch the day before and he wouldn't even eat a cracker on friday he was so scared to puke.

but we hadn't planned on being home that weekend so I had to go to the store.

after being there 20min chasen says mom Im so tired...

I bet buddy!

So we went home had soup and he slept 3 hours...no puke!!!

Meanwhile Dashtyn was so cranky, crying, inconsolable, up every hour

I was thinking ear's. But then I was holding him saturday morning and heard this grinding sound...he was grinding his teeth.. Yup 4 new teeth poking through on top!

of course I can't show them to you, but trust me they are there

 so we spent the weekend mostly at home.

Friday afternoon was the rededicating at sutliff bridge

and before we left chasen left kevin with a bowl...

Just incase he gets sick like I did mom.

and saturday we stayed home and watched the hawkeye game

and dashtyn cried from all the yelling and cheering ;)

dash took a nap at half time. we are loving the bean bag!

after the game we made fall/halloween sugar cookies!

some pumpkins, bats, leafs, acrons and ean made initials for the boys

Sunday we went to the children's museum with my friend Brittany and her son Reis

they were having construction equipment and other fun activities outside but it was raining the whole time so we just played inside and then ate lunch.

after lunch I went to target for a few things and dash fell asleep and when we got outside it wasn't raining but was REALLY cold so I told Chasen he could get on one truck and he chose the cement truck!

 

 

 

 

My Almost 4 Year Old

oh, this kid

he is such a joy

such a fiesty, independant boy

he can now draw stick people...or in this case it's a monkey...there is a tail!

He still adores his brother but does take EVERYTHING away from him all the time.

He loves preschool and says the darndest things

Mom, is it yesterday yet so I can go to preschool

My favorite lately was

mom, i can't eat my peas because my beeper's(heart) to tired and my hair cut is tired,

my blood is tired...

today I was trying to take a picture of him...

Sutliff Bridge

they rebuilt the first part of the bridge that washed away.

below you can see what it looked like after it washed away. on the left the bar and on the far right you can see the part of the bridge that stayed standing.

 they had a rededicating on friday afternoon that we went to with the kiddos

 the bridge washing away in the summer of 2008

hard to believe I was 5 months pregnant with chasen when we had the worst flood in 100's of years and now this summer Dashtyn was 6 month old and we had one of the worst droughts ever.

 we have always enjoyed coming to sutliff to enjoy a beer on the bridge and some food too.
it's a spot we take our family when they visit and friends.
And we are so excited that they rebuilt it! Chasen was very excited to walk over the river!
