Easter

we left for Nebraska thursday night getting there at 11 which was a big mistake because dashtyn got out of the car woke up in grandmas house and was NOT happy and cried until 1am :( 

But was ready to go on Friday when great grandma Jan and papa Swed arrived

and they brought Chasen a soccer/basketball that we played with all afternoon

Saturday Everyone came up for an easter egg hunt in valparaiso

   Then we came home for bubbles!!

and supper, Auntie Chanti brought her famous green chili!! 

we were all hot on the inside after that! :)

  and we golfed, compliments of Ean's new clubs he got at menards, heehe

 and some adventures where we ended up seeing sheep and lambs

Then Dashtyn escaped right before bath time

Sunday morning, after church everyone came back to moms house for more Easter fun!

after alll that fun we headed back home and were back, dirty and exhausted, by 9pm

Palm Sunday

We celebrated Easter with Ean's family on Palm Sunday in North English at Great Grandma Seaba's!

 we hid eggs in the basement for the boys

they were so excited then ran past a few of the eggs on the stairs

This year there was snow on the ground for Easter.....

Last year we were outside eating Popsicle

After lunch we headed over to Grammies to open Easter baskets

 When we got home for North English

Chasen found that the Easter Bunny had come to our house

  

Sale Barn

Last saturday morning we got up at 6am and loaded up in dads truck, the boys love to ride in it, and we headed to kalona to the sale barn

 saying good bye one last time 

then we were off to look at all the animals

 i wanted peacocks and Chasen wanted the huge Rabbits 

 after walking around for a few hours and eating a HUGE cinnamon roll we went to watch the sale

we saw a lot of cool animals, I wanted to buy a buffalo

a llama, and a male miniature donkey.......maybe next time :)

Round Up

Last Friday afternoon we hooked up the trailer

built a shoot

and tried to load up 2 of our cows

Ruby, the red mama cow who is not such a good mama..never nurses her calfs

and Flash our first born and Bull. We needed to sell him so he didnt breed his mom.

It took a couple tries but we got them both in to the shoot.

While Ean was running around trying to get them to run toward the trailer he slipped and fell right on his butt in the mud!! Chasen and I laughed pretty hard.

The whole ordeal took 3 hours and Dash napped almost the whole time.

we had corn in the trailer and Flash went in after we scared him in the door started to swing shut before we could get there to close it and he came back out

but  a couple more tries and he was in.

now ruby she took about 2 hours to get in.

we had to keep moving panels to make the shoot/pen thing smaller and every time we did she would charge at us with her horns! Chasen was sad at first to sell the cows but once he got scared he didnt care any more!

I kept checking on Dash and he finally woke up so we all got to help round up the

 5 male goats we wanted to sell

 it was so cute to see Dash in his muddin' boots :)

 he ran around yelling and some how never did fall in any poop

there was still some snow on the ground....

Chasen was all business herding goats, dash and I stayed by the trailer and would open the door when Ean would bring one. 

at one point while we were loading one we hear Chasen Daaad, DAD!!! I've got 2 and around the corner he came, 2 goats walking in front of him!

Dashtyn was nice to cheech, for a little while!

later that night he found his cowboy boots and got one on and cried pointing out the window then he moooed , like he always does out the window.

It was really cute and a reminder that we need to get a picnic table so we can eat outside because I know I wont get these boys in the house this summer for food!
