Visit to the Farm

2 weekends ago the kids and I drove (ean had to stay home) to alyssa's apartment in omaha for a swim

 before taking her with us to 

spend the night in Valparaiso at my moms and got up in the morning and went to the farm and on sunday I did the full 7.5 hours back with the screaming munchkins.

It wasn't so bad but defiantly not fun ;)

The fun part was getting to see family and playing at the farm.

Grandma had the pool set up for the kids and even though it had sat in the sun Dash thought it was to cold to get in but had fun throwing rocks in it

 we measure the boys every year and then had grown a lot! 

 Chasen and Ara had fun catching frogs and Dad said Ara took one home and it's still alive! 

 it was pretty gross to me! :)

 we had fun on all the motorized  things!!

the gator was a favorite

the combine, which I had never been in one so I got in it too!

 and the corn.... teaching Chasen about irrigation 

  I had dash in his swimsuit but he didnt want anything to do with the water

but as soon as he had clothes on and the sun apparently warmed up the water he got right in! 

  Chase and Ara climbed ontop of the garage roof 

and naked swimming after i thought he was done swimming

 smelling the pretty flowers before dinner

We come out here every year in august and my grandparents make an amazing dinner out on their patio....steak, cheesy potatoes, beans and homemade ice cream! 

I had gotten  dash dressed for dinner 

and after...he got in the pool in his clothes AGAIN! 

It was a great visit! :)

we got home and the week that followed was busy with a preschool orientation on wednesday and preparing for a wedding with rehearsal on friday, Chasen as the ring bearer and ean the best man!

Family Camp Out

last weekend we went to goldfield iowa to Tammi and Jason's house for a Seaba family campout! 12 kids under 13 years

We celebrated great grandma Seaba's birthday!

and it was their town celebration so there were jumpy houses

a tractor will stop these boys dead in their tracks!!

water balloon fights over and over

and a parade with lots of candy

then we were back to the farm complete with chickens, ducks, dogs, a bearded lizard and rabbits!

there was a lot of good food

a lot of trampoline jumping

Nerf gun battles

and im sure other shenanigans we didnt know about.

Chasen had a blast playing with all his boy cousins!!

tomorrow we are headed to my grandparents farm in Axtell, Nebraska 

Level 2 Swim Lessons

He was in class with his friend Alana!

airplane arms for floats

he can float underwater like that for 40sec or so...which feels like forever! 

only problem was he never paid attention to the instructor...was underwater most of the time ;)

He passed and will do level 3 in the spring.

To pass he had to do bob's

front and back float

front and back glide

and front and back crawl

you could do them with assistance but he didnt!

and nothing had to be perfect by any means

It's funny when he does his back float because he goes completely underwater but he insn't scared and can hold his breath for a long time so he floats back to the surface and then floats....he's a little fish

NEON RUN

2 weekends ago was North English Days and friday night they had a Neon run

so i did the mile with chasen and Garin and Ean, ran and won the 5k!

Dash and grammie watched but dash was glowin in his batman shirt

kevin signed up with us and that was enough standing for him lol

at the start

Chasen took off and so did Garin, until he found someone he knew then he would stop to talk...and he knew EVERYONE!! LOL

so I appologize to anyone who had to listen to me yell the whole time 

"chasen wait, chasen stop"

"garin come on, RUN!"

I wouldnt have yelled at Garin to run had I not already ran a race with him and knew he could do it :)

It was fun!!!

I was just scared Id loose some one in the dark!

afterwards was a street dance

dashtyn made friends but then ran away from them

 Saturday morning we sat at Papa's and watched the parade

and saturday night I went to Julies Bachelorette party!

The week was spent at swimming lessons every morning and then we were off to goldfield on saturday!

At 18 months Dashtyn

runs says go go go and pumps one arm and runs
climbs:into high chair, on charis, on table tops, up the fence, into other peoples strollers, but NOT out of his crib...yet.
screams, oh does he scream
sleeps in our bed every night from 2AM until he gets up
loves Elmo
gives REAL spontaneous hugs and kisses
Eats like a bird...he probably gets on full meal a day. some of his favorites are "nana" peas cheese and anything off mom or dads plate...thats when he eats the best.
Says his vocabulary has exploded the last 2 weeks!!!
peees    Please and he uses sign languare for it..rubbing his chest. it is so cute he will stand by the fridge and rub his chest for milk!

Lily        when Lily was here to visit he said her name it didnt sound 100% like Lily but close and he sticks his tongue out super far when he says it!

He will try to repeat anything you say for the most part but whining is his favorite form of communication :)
