the 4th was on a firday this year which was really nice!
Ean had the day off and we enjoyed the morning at home and had lunch on the picnic table before getting ready for a 4th party with our friends!
Happy 4th of July!!
everyone showed up around 4 to swim and play
dash and corbin deciding weather to join the big kids in the pool or not
everyone brought a side dish and we grilled brats.
it was so easy and made it more fun for me :)
then we started a fire and had smores
Dashtyn and Luke kept eating all the chocolate! :)
after smores we loaded up in our cars and had a parade of our own to the fireworks in mechanicsville
On Saturday we lounged around at home, because it was cold and rainy all day.
we left our house around 2 and headed to the lake with Ean's family just in time for the rain to stop but it was unseasonably cold!
but...
chasen and the other cousins jumped in anyway!
they had fun in garins boat
and then after listening to dash complain that he wanted to get in over and over
Ean took one for the team
Ean hates cold water more then any one i know!
hehehehee
but he did it for Dash!
chasen spent a good chunk of time moping uncle daves dock!
this was the beginning of the fire works!!
we watched from the top deck so we didnt loose the boys in the dark!
Sunday was a hot beautiful summer day so we went and did a little work with Ean and then we went to put put golf
dash enjoyed the water mostly and had wet shoes the entire time
then we got home and Ean went for a run and came back with a turtle that he ran a quarter mile with
we made him a home and called him Donatello!
we gave him some firneds...frogs if you look close you can see the frog that jumped right out of dashtyns reach!

it was a good holiday weekend
** we have since released Donnie, Tello aka Donatello, into our pond...i have never seen a turtle run so fast!! Im not kidding they can run! we put him on the bank and he sprinted into the water and made a little mud trail...I hope we catch a glimpse of him once in a while!
