Colic what you wanna Colic

Im-a-gonna become an alcoholic----- if Chasen doesn't stop crying from 6pm to 9pm
I'm just kidding i wont become and alcoholic but it does make me crazy.
The weekends are good he plays so well during the day and smiles at me but come evening he is fussy gussy.
I try everything swing, bouncy seat, play gym, gripe water, gas drops, colic formula, he is quiet when he is eating....sometimes.
Then come 9pm or 10pm he eats again and goes to bed sometimes he cries himself to sleep.
Its super frustrating, he will be 3 months next week, I though this was supposed to end at 3 months??!?!

In other news when I got home tonight there was a hint of sun light left...meaning spring is soon to come:)
So since all i do is work and come home to a screaming child i decided it was time to do something for me and its something Ive always wanted to do, I'm going to start running again!!
This year is all 1/2 marathons then next year, maybe it will take some planning but I would like to run a marathon in Hawaii!!
and its not just something I like to do but its something Ean enjoys as well so it can be just me time or us time, the us part might be kinda hard considering Ean is just slightly faster then I am ;)
but it will defiantly give us something to talk about and look forward to especially if we go to Hawaii :)
The first race is the Lincoln half marathon on may 3rd so my training will start feb 15th.
I'm really nervous and I hope my knees hold out
So I'm also going to start using this blog to track how much I run in hopes of keeping me motivated, Im sure its gonna be hard for me to find time for 8-10 mile runs but I hope I can do it :)

MONDAY MADNESS

This used to have a whole different meaning.
In college we used to have what was called Monday madness, someone different would host it each Monday and we would get together after home work and drink! The bars even started have a Monday night specials, we made T-shirts and everything....
ahhh so much fun
now Monday madness is a different type of madness.
The kind you dont really enjoy.
I need a new Monday madness shirt with this picture on it

(yes i know today is not monday) but my life feels like pure madness,
work, pick up kid, take care of screaming kid (he likes to cry allot) make bottles, pump, do dishes, cook.....i could go on and on...
then repeat.
I know I know its parenthood and you all do it too, just felt the need to complain about my own MAdNesS.

in other news we are going to Nebraska on Friday through Monday for Chasen's baby shower!! complete with margaritas....now that will be good madness!! :)

Monday: leave work early due to impending blizzard, get on the road just in time for the snow to stop and all is clear. There was no reason for me to leave early. Now I have to come in early (by choice) to make up the hours

Tuesday: Flat tire 5 min after leaving work, ean is an 1hr or so away and daycare closes in 45min. I drive the car to a gas station close to my work try to pump air in it...wont work so i leave the car there walk to work in -10 temps, Ean gets Chasen at 6:12--they don't make us pay the late fee, ean gets me at work around 7pm changes the tier and we drive home.

Wednesday: Another 7 inches of snow has fallen, I'm now driving the jetta which gets stuck at the end of the driveway Ean has to pull me out and then I continue to drive to work in the freezing blowing coldness. I'm 10 min late to work

Thursday: record breaking low temps occurred over night actual temp -29 wind chill -48.
I'm supposed to be at work an hour early.
6:10am i go out to start the jetta--its dead. wake ean up to jump it he tries till about 7am to jump it, it wont start.
I'm supposed to have left by 7am to get to work by 8am.
Ean gets the Chrysler out (the car that got a flat and has a spare on it) the back tire is now low he tells me to drive it to Lisbon to put air in it, I get there and the thing is completely flat i fill it and decided that I'm not going to drive this to work and risk another flat with the baby in the car and temps at -23.
So i call into work and go home, i tell ean I'm not driving that to work and settle in for a long cold day at home, around 8:30 ean comes in and informs me that I'm going to work he has to go to Iowa city so he will follow me to work take the tire off and take it to get it fixed. His truck wont start to he has to dig the other car out of 12 inches of snow.
I get to work and hour late at 10am.
Get a call from mercy at work that chasens insurance didn't cover his birth and that we need to call the company and ask them if they will go back and cover it, if not i need to ask my ins. if they will cover it otherwise its a $2300 bill.
I make it home from work safely, but Kevin had another seizure, he came out of it okay but it still really sucks.

FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all's well that ends well.....right.

well it is 20 degrees warmer today then it was yesterday and today its 6 degrees
