Kansas

We started off our visit in Kansas with a huge military base garage sale!
and we bought a double stroller! for $20. It was an optimistic purchase:)
we had got up at 5am for the garage sale so chasen was pretty much exhausted, as was I

after a morning of shopping we went to the T-Rex restaurant

chasen was scared of T-rex. He was pretty big!


we came home and napped
then enjoyed some nice weather, which is something we dont have in Iowa.
after playing in the sand the boys really needed a bah and Marshall did not like sharing his bath tub:)

after that it was time for some quiet play and adult beverages!!

and of course with stewie looking like this, we had quite a few laughs at his expense!

Easter Bunny Gifts

A velcro ball glove and ball. And hockey sticks and a puck that was lost in the first few seconds!

Easter

We made some bright cup cakes for Easter earlier this week

someone was really enjoying the frosting

we also made colorful cookies and creepy bunnies :)

Then On Saturday we died eggs to hide on Sunday
except for we didn't hide them on Sunday because I decided I wanted to try and make deviled eggs!

I had to work this weekend so Saturday night Ean and Chasen went to North English and on Sunday he did an egg hunt with Garin and came home with lots of loot!
The boy's got home around noon just as I was waking up
Ean made brunch and we gave chasen his Easter bunny gifts.
Chasen got hockey sticks and plastic puck and a velcro baseball glove!
we were going to have an egg hunt but Chasen was pretty cranky so we took a nap instead, I was pretty bummed I didn't get to see Chasen do and egg hunt but I suppose I have several years to do that!
After we woke up we went to a park in the town where ean had to pick up a trailer for work and then we went out to eat!FASSSSTOR!!!

It was one of the strangest Easters I've had, Usually holidays are spent with lots of family doing traditional things, not just the 3 of us, but it was good!

A Birthday

Well on friday night we had a party at our house which included some cute kids
fireand the fire department. (yes, again)
Saturday we woke up to snow on the ground
we hung out until about noon then headed up to Goldfield Ia for
Troy's 40th birthday party
which included all of the 12 great grandkids
(mine didn't want to be in the picture)
and lots of mischife

(yes chasen went to attack with a large tree branch)
and the youngest of the great grandkis has the bluest eyes ever

after trying to sleep in a room with 2 toddlers and 2 kids we were all tired



we met my mom and aunt in Des Moines on Sunday for lunch and some birthday shoping!!
