More Christmas

The tree was empty....
Then Grandma Showed up with her gifts and gifts from Granny, Grandpa and Aunt's and Uncles

Only my mom and brother could come and they get to stay until Monday after the Husker game!

I have to work this weekend so Ill be watching the hawk game at work and ringing in the new year at work, but we will get to say our happy new years before I go to work and probably eat lots of food, like we have been the last 2 days.
We (mom and jackson) put the crib together, and hung a bunch of stuff on my walls!
So far a successful visit :)

Santa Did Come!!

Reading The Night Before Christmas. We got home around 8pm on Christmas Eve.

I woke up at 7:30, Chasen was in our bed. Which is a no no but I guess he had a bad dream and came in at midnight and ean threw him in our bed, I apparently was passed out!
I came down stairs drank some coffee and waited for the boys.
I realized that I may not ever have a Christmas morning this quiet again so I ENJOYED IT!!!!

They came down around 8:30
Kevin was first

followed by daddy and Chasey
Chasen is not an urgent gift opener. He saw the candy cane in his stocking and stopped opening right then and there so he could open his candy and eat it then he started looking in his stocking for gifts.Kevin was next, it was funny to watch him he was so excited for his squeaker toy!
Santa brought me a new can opener! next it was on to the presents. Santa brought a "shoot gun" it shoots darts and poor kevin has been the target along with "the baby" and my butt. He also got new paints and lincoln logs that you paint and then build into a barn, a dinosaur coloring book after Santa gifts we had breakfast! Cookie cutter pancakes, bacon and eggs
It was a nice sunny day and the animals were just laying down sun bathing!after breakfast we gave Chasen our presents
he got a soccer net and ball which he loves playing witha huge dinosaur book which has lots of words I can't pronounce ;)and on Christmas Day I was exactly 34 weeks and really starting to get uncomfortable and slightly swollen *sigh*

later in the afternoon we went out and played with the baby goats and fed everyone.



It was a quiet Christmas we are usually at great grandma seaba's with several other kids or with my family, but it was just us this year! Ean and I watched 2 movies while Chasen napped!
after a Christmas dinner we made some hot coco and drove around and looked at Christmas lights!

Christmas Weekend

We went to North English Friday morning when I got off work, I took a couple naps and then we did Christmas With Ean's family!
We had enough food for an army and Chasen got more toys then he could ever want!!

Trista made these things kinda like what you call hay stacks.
it's an entire bag of captain crunch with 2 bags of melted butterscotch chips mix together and YUMMO!!!!
They are to die for!!

Grammie is smart and gets the boys the same toy's for Christmas, sometimes different colors but mostly the same.
They still end up fighting and hitting each other every now and then but it helps :)

my two boy's cut their hair right before the party started and I think they look alike!

I got a new camera. Not for Christmas just because my other one wasn't focusing right anymore. But my new camera has a feature called fish bowl effect. you can see in the pic of Kevin, Kinda cool!

Garin got a ping pong set and Chasen and daddy had fun playing. Chasen is actually pretty good at it!

Saturday Morning CHEESE!!!

Saturday afternoon we did Christmas with Papa Caskey!
The boy's got "cuddly puppies" as Chasen says.
Then we went to Great Grandma Seaba's for dinner and headed home to get ready for Santa!

7 Years Ago....

Ean was nervously driving down I80 with a diamond ring in his pocket hoping he could get his girlfriend to go along with his plans to propose!

we left north English on Christmas Eve around 7 or 8 to head to Nebraska in hopes we would get there at midnight.
But Ean of course had a trailer hooked up with a car on it that he had sold to some guy in des moines and needed to drop it off.
I was NOT happy!!
so we drop the car off , I stay in the truck.
Ean comes back after an hour or so and says that the guy's brother has a car for sale just a few miles down the road and ean wants to go look at it.
I was PISSED. it was like 11pm and we were only to Des Moines. But Ean said well I have the trailer on I'm just gonna go in case I want it.
GRRRRRRR
We drive a few miles and Ean says
"I think we are right by the Holliwell bridge where we signed our names a few years ago. Do you want to stop and see if its still there?"

"ummm not really I just want to get to NE so we can sleep before Christmas morning"
He pleaded which I thought was weird so we stopped.

Ean: "well, do you want to get out?"
"I guess.... " (im in PJ's and slippers and its snowing and about 30, no I didnt want to get out!)

we walk up there and I find where we signed our names

This is what we wrote on the bridge a couple of years before.
I don't remember exactly what it says Abby + Ean.....

and I kinda look at him like okay now what LETS GO!!
and he points up and "finds" a note behind a 2 X 4 to Me and i read it ...still not knowing what was going on. I thought he cleverly pulled it out of his pocket and it was like an apology note for making me put up with his car selling business on Christmas. The note was about how much he loved me :)

Then Ean points to where he had written on the bridge .. But the real ? is --> Abby Will you marry me?

I see it and I was shocked and I turned to see Ean on one knee with the ring!
He asked and I said YES!!!
"Yes" you sneaky a-hole ;)

we didn't get to Nebraska until about 3 or 4 in the morning and got up at 7 for Santa!
Christmas morning everyone who knew was waiting to see the bling. I wasn't sure if I should emerge from the basement waving it around or what so I tried to hide it for a while which was awkward since half of everyone knew and was just waiting for me to say something lol

They all knew because Ean spent the 23rd of December hunting my mom down to ask for her permission. He ended up calling her at home, cell and finally at my Grandmas house so she of course couldn't hide why Ean was calling and some of my family knew!

So it was all a set up.
Ean went down to the bridge in des moines 2 weeks earlier and wrote all that stuff on the bridge and placed the note.
He even had the guy he sold the car to in on it.
There was no brother down the road with another car for sale but Ean asked the guy we actually sold the car to to say that in case I came up to the door with him but I just stayed in the truck.

Ean was so nervous he wouldn't be able to pull it all off that he didn't tell anyone but my mom!

A great Christmas Eve memory :)

Santa Baby

Baby will be here soon and we don't really have a name.
well, we have a girl name for sure
and 4 boy names but none of those 4 really stick with me or give me that "oh yah" feeling. And I keep searching but nothing really sticks out to me...
So in that respect I hope its a girl!
But we just realized baby is due on Super Bowl Sunday!!!
So in that case it's probably a boy!
It would be cool if baby was born on super bowl sunday since chasen was born on a very historic election day!

Ean was born on Michael Jackson's birthday and Trista was born on Elvis Presley's birthday! How crazy is that?!!

I have been exhausted lately. I go to bed every night at 8pm no matter what.
Ean and I could be trying to watch a movie or show and even if Im sitting up Im OUT!
after working the weekend last weekend and christmas on sunday we got home and I was asleep by 6:30 and didnt wake up until 8am and didnt wet the bed surprisingly :)

Baby is a MONSTER!
they warn you that movement slows down at this point because baby is out of room.
not this guy! It doesnt care what kind of room it has it's gonna move any way!!
I NEVER felt Chasen move like this.
Last night we were in bed I was laying on my left side and all of a sudden I could see, SEE 2 long oval type shapes on my stomach.... FEET
It was so crazy Ean and I could feel its little feet. I could even tell which part was the heel
Ean was totally creeped out!
I was too a little. It was like it was going to poke through my skin.
Ean asked me if it hurt. I said no, not when its facing this way but when all the kicking and punching is taking place on my organs it does. No wonder I peed my pants!
I wish I could have got all the movement on video. I guess Ill have to start taking the camera to bed with me!

we drove past the hospital yesterday and I told Chasen that was where we were going to have our baby and I asked him if he would like to come and see baby when mama has it there ..... his response
"I fink that spiders and flies are going to come here and bite the baby"

ummmmmmmm okay?

I think this could get interesting...

Tradition

When I was a kid we wrote letters to santa and put them in our stockings and then santa would come get our letter and leave us an ornament to hang on the tree!

So I decided to carry on the tradition.
This isn't the first year, I actually made Ean start doing it when we were just dating!




Chasen got an ornament with marshmallows made to look like a snowman with popcorn on it :)
He loves marshmallow's and popcorn!
