Last Soccer Game

last week we had make up games on wed and thursday.

aunt trista, grammie and garin were able to come cheer on chasen :)

 I see soccer in his future

  playing with stuffed animals on the sideline...he'll be embarrassed of this some day :)

  running off the field to hug his brother

T-ball starts  the first wednesday in june!

Preschool ended this week on tuesday with a picnic at the park

and I had a weird experience.

I was holding dashtyn and all of a sudden a bunch of older kids came walking to the park for a school picnic and I was surrounded by a bunch of boys who looked really young but were as tall as or taller then me and I had this moment where I realized that my boys will be BIGGER then me and I wont be able to pick them up or sit them on my lap and they probably wont hug me :( at lest in public

I later found out these boys were in the 6th grade and honestly most of the 5th grade boys were taller then me!

I forget they wont be this age or this big  little forever :(

Dashtyn the 15 1/2 month old

I have not updated on my little dude lately, he is getting so big!!

he is

24 lbs
32 inches...all legs!!
he had his first hair cut and now its growing in fast

he finally sleeps through the night except when we are at grandmas
ohhhhh man and that smile, so big, so many teeth! his eye teeth are coming in right now
but that smile, he smiles at every one he sees and they can't help but smile back
I think its a combination of his dimples, huge mouth and his eyes smile too :)

He tries to talk, is always pointing and babbling.

He can run, and pretty fast, with his left arm just pumping and pumping!

Screams to get what he wants because it works. Chasen will either give him what he wants or scream back, which of course is sooooo fun.

He loves to kick balls throw balls say ball 

he wont stay off the field when we are at soccer

 LOVES being outside playing with trucks and dirt.

likes to chew or rocks and eat dandelions 

 He is so excited that he can climb up and go down the slide by himself

he loves all slides at every park and is not scared to go down 

Is still a climber and can be found on the table by the TV

He can be naughty too.

Chasen was reading a book, sitting on the floor and Dashtyn walked over and sat on the book and smiled a big grin!

he also loves trucks and trucks and cars are his favorite thing to play with, 

he likes to line them up in the kitchen.

and he says vrrroooom every time a car or truck drive by

and he will stop whatever he is doing to look at motorcycles.

He likes to go on walks and is a great stroller rider as well

the other day we walked with Chasen's preschool class to the library for story time.

he LOVES going to Chasen's school

He is not a baby at all any more

Mothers Day

We spent part of mothers day in nebraska at church

and then we had lunch outside with my mom

and headed home for Iowa!

On the way home we stopped in Des moines at the Cheese cake factory

It was very yummy!! 

The boys got me a necklace that was actually made by my momma's best friend...

I also got an arm band for my phone when I run

We got home about 9pm and went straight to bed!!!

Jackson's Graduation

We headed out to Nebraska friday morning for Jackson's graduation party

Got there in time to help my mom set up stuff

 then it was party time!

the weather was perfect, almost a little hot!

we were all wearing orange!

The party was from 6 to 9 and Dashtyn, although, ready for bed would NOT 

go to bed, I kept asking the friends and family at the party to just lay down and pretend there were sleeping for just minute so Dash would go to bed to....

but they just laughed at me.

Thats what we do at home, Chasen pretends to go to bed at 8pm and Dashy goes without a  sound...but if Chasen doesnt go he screams!!!

So Dash stayed up and fell asleep in daddys arms at about 9:30

Saturday afternoon was the graduation ceremony!

Jackson didn't give any speeches, but he was mentioned in 3/4 of then! 

heheee, He's a nice social butterfly :)

Poor Lily had to put up with Chasen's usual antics at the ceremony

until it was auntie Lisa's turn

Saturday night was state baseball under the lights

it was windy and freezing but we enjoyed cheering on #3

and eating cheese fries

Sunday morning we went to church for mothers day 

and for the recognition of the graduates

Chasen promised he would be good if he could go down and sit with Jackie

only problem was Jackson had to get up in front of the church for a little bit and Chasen was left alone....but he did good!

afterwards we went to my mom's for lunch 

and hit the road to head back home!

it was a jam packed weekend but so good to see all our family and friends and 

to celebrate with Jackson.
