and he found us and left us all a stocking

Jett's first Christmas!
we all love grandpa's fire place and he gets them tools and they carve at wood and eat peanuts
we lounged around and had home made soups for lunch then opened gifts and had a big meal in the evening!

| meeting great uncle bob! |
head lamps for light wars later that night!
 |
| watching us pass out gifts and waiting to open |
throwing and rolling around in all the paper!
grandma bought the supplies and ava made them, these pillow beds/mats. they are awesome! espically since we have all wood floors at home.
my little family!
later that afternoon chasen stayed outside a good hour or more after all the kids came in and he had made a fort complete with a door, he had ice crystals and had wrote "welcome" in the snow. he bucketed and shoveled snow that whole time. unfortunately you can't see it very well in photos
here are all the chef's in the kitchen, each one had a 4 legged assistant ;) kevin, patrick and buster!
later that night we were ready for light wars!!
a 30+ year tradition with the neighbors across the street that started with my mom and her siblings.
at some point on christmas night either us or them will start flashing flash lights across the street and into the windows of the front room. this year though since it was so nice out (sort of) we decided to have a parade! aunt lisa bought a zillion different forms of glow sticks and we put them all on, necklaces, earrings, head bands etc.
we called the neighbors and had chasen say "you're going down" then we ran outside, mom started the christmas music in her car and we paraded down the street with our glow sticks, head lamps and flashlights!
they came out and we danced in the street for a bit.
it's a competition and we won! they won last year!
it started snowing and got real windy so Jett and I didnt last long
but they came over afterwards and met Jett!
Rae had her whole family (as did we) home this year!
before going to bed we sang happy birhtday to Jesus a tradition I started when I was about the boys' age and we've used the same small nativity all these years!
snuggled up watching a movie
Christmas was too much for Dash he was out with in 5 minutes of the movie starting :)
they day after christmas these crazy fools went to the Star Wars movie, my grandpa gave them money and joked that he was paying them to go so he...we could have peace and quite:) but they came back within 20min....the show was sold out so they had to go to the 3pm showing instead
so these "bros" took a nap while they waited
once they left we did get our peace and quiet and Jett got some good use out of the boys' pillow beds!
that night was the husker bowl game!! and they won but still have a losing record
we hung out for a bit on sunday before heading home!
the girls and their "babies"
