4 Months

4 months has been a big month!

.

we had Jett's baptism on the 31st of Jan. (which i need to post about!)

 Jett LOVES playing with his brothers and watching them play!

He had his first Valentine's day! 

We had a party at a friends house with our play goup friends:) 

Jett had fun playing with friends until he was hungry.

we had had an AWFUL week breastfeeding. He was refusing and only wanted a bottle. 

Which he only got one a day and maybe one at church. But apparently that was enough to confuse him. we had one good day of nursing so I didnt bring a bottle to the party. well he wouldn't nurse and screamed and screamed and we had to leave before dash even got to pass out his valentines or do any activities so he cried and pouted (rightfully so) and I drove way to fast the whole way home crying as well. ugh!! So after a few days of Jett screaming at every feeding and me crying as well I quit nursing. :( So then we spent the next week or 2 finding a formula that didnt make him gassy and upset. But I think we have found one!

He also started to drool more and blow bubbles

lots of cooing and smiling

still only mostly laughs for daddy

He LOVES this saucer thing. Loves it!! and is slowly getting coordination to play with the toys

He loves his fingers, prefers them to the pacifier

 

He is getting stronger, bigger and harder to hold! 

Jett went to his first track practice and liked all the commotion! 

 we went on a couple play dates, one to the gymnastic place where the babies had tummy time with the big kids ran around like crazy and us mommas had some time to chat:) we love our play group friends!

 Jett also attended his first basketball game

and he actually fell asleep!! Starting to understand that he will need to sleep anywhere and everywhere cause we will be ON THE GO!!

 

 Jett enjoyed his first walk

 he isnt a fan of tummy time but having big brother to look at helps

 He went to the park and sat in a swing for the first time!

 and continues to voice his opinions ;)

 at 4mo Jett weighs 

15.8lbs and is 26" long

He doesnt have any teeth, but is working on them 

and still only rolling from front to back.

 

This month will be a big one Im sure, he changes every day!! 

Valentine's a Different Kind of Anniversary For Us

Dear, Jett I promise not to compare you to your embryo picture ever again :), but I will forever think of you on valentines day!

I think it is supper creepy and supper cool that we have a picture of him like this. 

HOW WEIRD!!!

It would totally trip me out if my mom had a picture of me as an embryo

I also have a ultrasound of them putting him in!! 

ahhhh Scenic is crazy!

It was a year ago on Valentines that Ean and I went to the University to have our baby implanted, it wasn't romantic in any way but it was a miraculous day!

look at this little miracle

 all 3 of my boy's are miracles 

and its a miracle that their daddy has celebrated 14 valentines with me ;)-just kidding!

But seriously what a miracle that is.

I mean we all know that embryos make babies, but it is an absolute miracle to see it happen in the way that we did! 

It completely fills me with love everyday and especially on valentines day :)

We spent today going to church, giving the boys a small gift and snuggling inside watching the snow before we will venture out to go to the first track practice of the season and we wouldn't have it any other way! 

I think if you had asked Ean and I 14 years ago where we saw ourselves on valentines day, this would have never been in our wildest dreams, but now I couldn't imagine it any other way :)

Dashtyn is 4!!!

Dashtyn was so excited to turn 4 and have everyone here to celebrate with him!

He took chocolate sprinkle donut holes to school for his treat on friday and came home with this hat!

he was so excited that they all sang to him

 Everyone came firday night

and dash woke up saturday on his birthday and played matching with lissy and jaxie

 I was busy making his cake!
He requested a cake as tall as a building

 it did not turn out as sbeautiful as i thought it would but once it was decorated it looked like a mad hatter cake so I went with that :) 

we sang and did cake, lunch and gifts with my family 

 making sure big brother didnt blow out the candles and cause an epic melt down!!!

 then we met with Ean's family at the pizza ranch for supper before we went to the pool!

 we rented out the north liberty pool and Dash had about 35  little friends there with their parents as well!

I invited our mommy group friends, his whole class, family and our friends with kiddos!

He had a blast and said his favorite part was having all his friends together!!

I loved it too but it was a little hard to get to chat with everyone 

 uncle jackson showin the kids how to dive....or belly flop!

 Jett hung out with family, I put auntie Lisa in charge and she only lost track of him once, but uncle Chris had him :)

it was so much fun and I think we will do it again, but next time rent a room before hand or after to open gifts and have cake.

we didnt do cake cause i thought it would be to messy so i did jello and snacks but we didnt have enough time or really room for dash to open gifts and i felt bad about that :/ cause little friends like to see them open their gifts!

It was so good to see Dash so excited.

He's taken a back seat for a couple months espically the month of november when baby Jett was getting gifts and every time someone came to visit we did a mini party for Chasen's Birthday. 

So I think it was good to have a weekend for Dash and to really make a big deal of it!

3 Months

Little Jett turned 3mo old on the 26th!

He is getting so big and likes to play with his brothers.

He doesn't just eat and sleep any more he likes to be entertained!

 this is the only time he has ever fell asleep anywhere but his bed, swing or in the car

chasen used to fall asleep playing all the time. 

not this boy, he wants to be in his swing to sleep or held.

He does good at night in his bed!! 

we switched him over to his pack and play in our room.

He slept through the night twice then I got mastitis and my supply went down and he now eats at 10, 12, 2, and 6 (yawn)

I am STILL exclusively breast feeding which is a current record!!! He usually takes a bottle of my milk at 10 with ean and that's it. 

I was so worried my supply wouldn't come back after the mastitis but it did and now he is going through a growth spurt (i assume) because he's eating every 2 hours. Hopefully my body adjusts with him and we can continue on! 

It's a lot of work to be the only person feeding him but it is also easier in many ways :)

 we had a little baby play date with Shae

I think he liked seeing another baby face! 

They were so cute:)

 We had a couple warm days and Jett got to go outside and see the animals

they are really noisy! 

 when he isnt sleeping he is smiling 

unless we are at a play date or a bunch of people are over.

He does NOT like a crowd....noise.

which is weird since its noisy at home but the boys generally keep their noise upstairs

I really hope this changes because it SUCKS! 

we still continue to go to play dates once a week so he should get used to it...I hope

 

 He loves the bath and his umbilical hernia is gone!
