Chasen is changing daily at the speed of light every time I turn around he has learned or done something new.
His ever emerging personality is so much fun and a little overwhelming at times.
There is no reasoning with a toddler!!!
- He is 2'8 weighing in at 27lbs still has his chunky thighs which are extremely ticklish!! But, his face is thinning out and looking more like a boy then a baby.
- still no new teeth although one poked through and went back down, it has been quite the cranky battle with these teeth and I hear eye teeth are worse.
- He is sleeping through the night on a consistent basis (when he isn't sick)
- He can say "uts tat" (whats that) and he only says it when you are holding him and he points at stuff and whispers it in your ear its so cute
my mom and eans mom have both heard him say puppy when he saw smaller dogs and he says dahh for kevin.
- He is very good at shaking his head no and whining when you do something he doesn't like or put his coat on, put him in the car seat, lay him down for bed.... EVERYTHING gets a head shake.
- If you do something he likes he SHRIKES with excitement and its the best when he does it when I come to pick him up from daycare...warms my heart!
- he loves rocking in his rocking chair next to daddy while they watch tv
- He tries to mimic what we say, we are working on animal sounds
- and he is learning to eat with a fork and spoon
there is just so much going on!!!! But I have so much fun with him everyday!
Chasen has also had another ear infection after we stopped going to the chiro once or twice a week he got another one.
So we decided that it was best to go visit the ENT instead of paying to take him to the chiro 2x's a week, which would end up being twice as expensive and is a pain to take him that often.
After being evaluated by the ENT they determined that he indeed has fluid in his ears and they want to do tubes. We also talked with him about the fact that the kid has had a runny nose and cough since birth ( which did not go away after being adjusted at the chiro)and he said once they have him under they will look at his adenoids and probably take them out to!
I really don't want to put him under and struggled with the idea but I think in the long run it will be best.
His surgery is scheduled for Jan 28th and my mom is coming down the 29th to stay home with him although the Dr. said he could go to school the next day.(yes we call daycare school!)
So that's whats new with the little man.

There is definetely no reasoning with toddlers! Cael also has the constant runny nose and cough and we've already had the adenoids discussion. Hope all goes well for Chasen!
Abby,
You will be amazed at how quickly kids recover from having tubes put in, I don't know about the adenoids part. After Jonathan had tubes put in in the morning, he was roller skating in the living room by lunch. Hope all goes well. Donna
Baylor had 14 ear infections before he was 18 months and had tubes. Best decision! It only takes about 15 minutes and they recover quickly. Have you tried a daily allergy medicine for his runny nose?
