We have went to 2 sessions so far and on the very first day The instructor said that we could just let the kids get in the water for a little bit to get used to it.
It goes from 0 to like 5 feet so Chasen gets in, gets on his hands and knees and starts crawling until its deep enough that his back leg's float then he goes until the water is over his head I grab him he goes "that was fun!"
meanwhile the other kids are up to their ankles lol
Needless to say he's not scared at all.
He kept yelling at me to let him go!
we use a noodle to wrap around their bodies and then I grab both ends and can hold him that way and he doesn't think I'm "holding" him.
Then the instructor gave him a ball and he would throw it and then would want to go get it so I told him he had to use his arms and kick his legs and he did a pretty good job so then I would move him toward the ball, but if he stopped then I would stop.
So I think he is kinda starting to get it.
we also get in a circle and sings songs and the kids kick their feet or move their arms when the song says too!
Its nice to get out of the house and go, but I dont get to talk to the girls as much as I thought we would get to lol.
I guess the kids take up alot of our attentions especially since mine went running toward the deep end fully clothed and was ready to jump in.
We gave the life guard a heart attack!
