so off we went me, Ean and my grandpa. the hotel we had found with power was down a road that had not been plowed and had 4ft drifts so we went on into town saw a gas station with working pumps but no one inside so we filled up with gas and drove around to 2 more hotels each one down a road that wasnt plowed :(
I had seen a gas station that was open on the inside so we stopped for sandwiches, milk and HOT coffee
I was telling our story to the lady working there and she said she thought there might be a few other hotels so she called a couple with no luck and on the 3rd try found one with power, the road was plowed and 2 rooms left...suite rooms but we didnt care what it cost at that point!
so we took our food and I called my mom with the good news!!
we were gone for 2 hours so they already had everything packed up when we got there!
I still wasnt sure we were actually gonna get out of there ....... I mean so much could still go wrong.....as we had witnessed.
Ive never seen people pack a car so fast but we flew out of there!!

and to all you other stranded guests....I dont feel sorry for you, you could have scoped yourself out, but you are welcome for scoping most of the driveway!
while on our way back to town i googled the hotel and it was a 4.5 star hotel!
so we walked in looking as we did each with 3 bags on our backs
drop all our stuff and notice some fancy old people watching football and sipping martinis
ummmmm Hiiii LOL
the lady checking us in had no staff and said one of our rooms was ready but it might be a couple hours for the other one so we opted for one room with roll-a-ways and a discount!
we got upstairs and ean went to move our car to a parking spot. while walking back up to the hotel he noticed a bumper sitting in front where you load....he thought dang that sucks but looked closer and it was ours....of course!
but he didnt care our room was warm had running water and a great view
clean warm happy
enjoying all the room!
we eventually moved the tables and had two roll away beds in there
after eating our sandwiches my mom, grandpa and I headed to the bar/casino
to test our luck. HA!
we made $1.25 collectively!
we cranked the heat and headed to bed happy!
