An Interruption...

so i need to interrupt our vacation posts to show you these lazy bums enjoying the last few days of summer!

Chasen starts school on the 13th and I am beyond sad :(

3pm to 8pm is NOT enough time with my big baby ;(

I dont know why but it just hit me today and I cried a little (yes its true I cried-- get over it! ;) )

I really wish and think kindergarten should be half days.

If I thought I could do a stellar job at it Id home school him for a couple years

then I thought well, maybe I could hold him back and do preschool again....

poor kevin has nothing soft to lay on

but he has to go to school... Im just being  selfish!

 Chasen is sooooooo excited for school, even though I keep telling him how much Dash and I are going to miss him and how sad Iam...I should probably keep those thoughts to myself...

But he is ready and excited to go.

and there is NO reason to hold him back....the kid is seriously smart and needs to be challenged.

I dont mean to brag, but he can recognize all his numbers into the 300's he can also count that high..

trust me Ive sat through the counting to 300 + several times. He can write his numbers in sequence up to the 20/30 somethings. He can write all the letters and spell his name.

he even sounds out  short words and spells/writes them correctly

he knows what sounds all the letters make and can sorta read by sounding them out...it just takes a really really really long time!

It's just so hard to let go :( ;( 

God help me when he moves out...hopefully he will just live above the garage like he keeps telling me he wants to...
