Christmas Overload!!!

We put up our first tree before thanksgiving

We started wearing our Christmas jammies early too!

We finally put up our tree after we were done with the flu bug.

So i made chasen hang one with me

We started a new tradition this year...it was supposed to start on the first but everyone was sick.

Its a book About the journey to Bethlehem and you read one story each night! so we read a few the first night. the boys really like it

Chasen Had A friend over after school one day and we made Christmas trees out of ice cream cones! it was way easier then a gingerbread house. Ive actually only done a gingerbread house once So maybe i just need to try it again!

Chasen made his and was proud of them so he only Ate the tops off

later we wrote our letters to Santa

Chasen asked for 100 soldier and 15 ninjas NOT made by the elves this time because the ones they made last year broke right away (Oops My bad! Lol)

Dash sipped egg nog while he told dad To draw pictures of things he wanted.

and we asked santa to come early since we wont be home!

they put them in their stocking 

and the next morning santa had taken the letter and left an ornament!

He also left a book

this year something new happened, I got to volunteer at chasens school for gingerbread day! 

its always fun to see him at school!

I wasn't sure if we'd get to it but we made sugar cookies one night and decorated them the next! 

lots of finger licking! 

i was so happy i finally feel like i perfected the frosting and cookie recipe! 

It's such a busy time of year, but so much fun with little ones i try to soak up and live up every moment. although i do feel Guilty about the santa lie :( am I Alone in this? I mean im not a grinch but as chasen really starts to believe and ask questions and i make up more lies I feel awful!

oh well! :)
