| here is chasen, he looks smaller then Jett |
We left wednesday night for north english and Jett spent his first night away from home and did really good!
we ate breakfast at Grammies and took some cute photos of the boys before heading to Sigourey to meet up with the rest of the family
The first person to hold Jett was Great Grandma, this was their first meeting and Id say it was love at first sight :)
and grandma had his Christmas stocking made, we all have a stocking from grandma and it is so special to have!
we got a 4 generation photo!
and then Jett got to meet several of his cousins who loved holding him.
I wish Matt and Jackson lived closer, Id hire them to babysit all the time
It was so nice the kids (mostly boys) hung out and beat up on each other in the basement
while us adults had some time to chat!
look at these 2 being so good ;) there is mischief behind those smiles
and my big boys! I tried to get Chasen to snuggle with me like that but he just gave me the side eye.
maybe for christmas ill get a snuggle!!
Aunt trista made pumpkin bars and I saw chasen eat 6 of them!!
the dessert bar was right by the top of the basement stairs and he kept sneaking up and eating them!
we left around 6 and came home.
It's only a hour and a half drive and Jett didn't do so well, we had to stop in iowa city for me to nurse him. He cluster feeds and is a little cranky in the evenings (nothing like chasen was though!) so from now on we will travel in the morning!!
we got home and the furnace was off because before we left we had raw sewage back up into our basement (which was ok because our basement is dirt/cement floor) so we shut iftoff to not circulate the smell and aired everything out.
so we used space heaters and the fireplace and had slumber party in our room!
I got up at 4 and turned on the furnace and thankfully there was no smell!
Ean went and rented an excavator so he could dig up the pipes and fix the problem.
I dressed my boys in their football gear and we waited for the big game to start!
Chasen informed me he was cheering for the Hawks because he felt bad for them that they were probably gonna lose to the Huskers.
BUT the Hawks won and I was actually happy about that. In a way.
And it was really weird to watch the game on TV
but I was happy to be warm cause they all looked really cold out there!
Jackson did send me video of the tunnel walk to make me feel better about missing the game:)
The rest of the weekend ean worked on our plumbing which really sucked because I was stuck in the house with the boys who were bored and was really looking forward to a weekend with Ean and the boys doing fun christmas things around town.
but we had to get this all done before the ground froze and so our house didnt smell.
I did get to go shopping ALONE for an hour on small business saturday and we all went out to lunch in mt. vernon and the boys got to pet a reindeer!
The plumbing problem got fixed late sunday afternoon and as our luck would have it as ean was leveling out the dirt on the massive hole he was filling he hit the window with the excavator bucket breaking it. :( :(
It didnt shatter THANK GOD because dashtyn was in there when it happened.
we just put plastic over it and saved it for another day!
It wouldn't be normal if we didn't have something to fix around here!
