On our way to #2

We had our first appointment with the UIHC this morning.
It was 2 1/2 hours long!!
They did an ultrasound on my ovaries, something I always wondered why my doc. didn't do.
My uterus looks great and my ovaries have some cysts but not "classic" looking Poly-cystic ovaries and she said my ovaries looked really good considering all the clomid I have taken.
So that was exciting! They could also see that I had ovulated recently, so there is a chance that we are pregnant.

The Plan:
the plan, is to call them when I get my period and then I will go in and get some more blood work done to determine if I do have PCOS. Including a 2 hour glucose test, and 2 other tests.
They (and yes I mean they, I saw 2 doc's 1 nurse, 1 ultrasound tech and 1 ultrasound student. I miss just having one person and will be happy to get pregnant and go back to mercy!) said that Im not a classic patient for PCOS and they need to rule out some other things before they officially diagnose me.
Then I will take Femara, its a pill much like clomid, to induce ovulation.
Then I take OPK's (ovulation predictor kits) until one is positive then we go in that morning and will have an Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) done.
This will most likely happen the first or second week of Jan.

Then we wait until we take a pregnancy test to determine if it worked or not.
We will try this route 3 times and then will do an IUI with injectable drugs for 3 rounds and if that doesnt work we move on to IVF

So Im happy and at peace with the fact that we have a plan and that the Doc's think that we have a really, really good shot at the IUI working!

More on my NAUGHTY toddler soon, for a few days he's been pretty good!
