Dash and I had a great day yesterday, we had to go to town and do some paper work for Ean so we stopped at the river for a minute
then since it was only 9am we decided to stop at palisades park!
last time i was on this trail I was carrying dash in his baby wrap :(
and we only went up to the little shelter you will see in the pics.
Today we went much further ... probably hiked 2 miles!
first we went to check out the gorgeous view of the river
then it was off to the trail for some rock climbing

It was so beautiful
"mom you ike this!!"

we stopped to look at the river from up above
so pretty
here is the shelter or house
"mama its a beautiful house"
when we got past the house we could smell campfire and hear a bunch of women singing...it was really beautiful and a little spooky strange at the same time :)
we hiked and hiked as acorns and leaves fell on our heads
such a little boy in a big big world

I got him to sit for a few photos

"be careful mom"
we climbed another "mountain"
"I did it mom"
"mom you ike this"
of course he got me several leaves and flowers :)
"shhh you hear dat?"
we saw several squirrels and heard them eating
we even saw a deer!
"mom this is a fun venture" "i like"
there was actually more trail but i got him to turn around at a loop and when he figured it out he was NOT happy.
Crossing his arms in protest.
and saying very matter-of-factly
"mom I NOT go home."
but he somehow left without throwing a fit and raced me to the car.
as we were driving out of the park i said dash i had so much fun with you
and he says
"no you not."
I said, yes i did, why do you say that?
and he said "cause you go to the car."
kid i hiked with you for 2 miles we had to come back at some point!!
can't wait to go again!
